There are a couple of fine new screenshots for RTX Red Rock up on planetgamecube. Literally two of them.
It's hard to make posts with very little information in them amusing for people... maybe I should get a joke from somewhere... ok.

Disney have announced that their new film:Pirates of the Caribbean has been given a rating by the film classification folks... it's been rated Arrrrrrr!

AHahahahahahaha get it? ....I'll get my coat.

Update: Actually, these two screenshots aren't new and are up on the official LucasArts website... but they're still cool.

Update: Ahaha because these six screenshots on Eurogamer aren't on the LEC gallery.. meaning they could be *shock* New! It's so hard to tell these days. Oh well.

IGN has posted the fifth designer diary for Knights of the Old Republic written by BioWare designer Lukas Kristjanson. Here's a quote from the diary concerning the fact that the game takes place 4,000 years before Episode I:
First off, we tend to think of futuristic settings as being relatively new, and that perhaps only a few years ago there were no starships. Does this mean that the only equipment with a respectable provenance will be primitive, like the same old swords and bows? Not so in Star Wars. At the time of the movies, the galaxy has had faster than light travel for over 25,000 years. The Old Republic, the venerable organization of thousands of worlds, was built around the discovery of hyperdrive systems. Civilizations have come and gone in this age of discovery, and many technologies have been lost to the ages.

Games Domain has published a list of games they are most looking forward to in 2003. Along with Zelda, Doom III, and Halo 2, you'll find such LucasArts games as Galaxies, Knights of the Old Republic, and Full Throttle 2. Here's a quote from the list concerning the sequel to Full Throttle:
Details are still scant, but the game will feature the same lead as the original, Ben, leader of a motorcycle gang called the Polecats. It also promises a similar mix of action and puzzles.

The comedy adventure genre has been severely neglected in recent years, so it's good to see probably the most acclaimed publisher of adventure games getting back to its roots. We'll be waiting eagerly to see what they come up with.
You can check out the full list here.

Happy 2003! To celebrate the new year, we've done something very special. Well maybe not, but still, it's something worth looking at. Our own Andrew "telarium" Langley reviews Star Wars Bounty Hunter to find out if it's just another soulless cash-in on the Star Wars franchise, or if it's actually a quality product. Find out here!

LucasArts was kind enough to send the Mixnmojo staff a very nice Christmas card via postal mail with the art from the official website. We've gone ahead and scanned the card at a high resolution (874 x 600 px) for your enjoyment. So... enjoy!

Other holiday greetings definitely worth checking out around the network include this Christmas wallpaper featuring many of your favorite LEC characters, courtesy World of MI drawn by the venerable Paco Vink. Also, the Mixnmojo Christmas card, with a santa hat drawn by Dan Lee and some bad humor from Jake.

According to Friday's update of LucasArts.com, the site will feature musical clips from the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb live orchestral score in January.

The site will also show pictures from the recording sessions as well as tidbits from composer Clint Bajakian, similar to our own feature article.

Oh, and there's a new screenshot up on the official site as well.

GameSpyDaily has some new RTX Red Rock screenshots for you to check out. The oddest of the bunch is this one, featuring an old man that Marek calls "the professor." My question is: why does the old man have the Marathon (and by definition Halo) logo on his nametag? Injoke or placeholder? Probably the latter. Also check out EZ Wheeler's eyeware.

According to Adventure Gamers, the latest issue of PC Zone includes an interview with LucasArts Public Relations guy Tom Sarris. In the interview, Tom discusses Full Throttle 2 and the potential for more LucasArts sequels. Here's a highlight:
There'll definately be another Monkey Island game. You've seen four incredibly well-done versions of Monkey Island, and there's an immense amount of stories that remain to be told within that series. And not only that series -- I mean Grim Fandango especially, we'd love to revisit that one day. Sadly, Tim Schaffer probably won't be involved, but we don't think that means the property has to suffer at all.
Poor Tim... always getting his last name misspelled. Check out Adventure Gamers for more highlights from the interview as well as a screenshot of a 3D Ben standing outside of The Kickstand.

Jim Tso, LucasArts producer for the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, has been interviewed yet again. IGN discusses the game's attributes with said producer and showcases some new screenshots. Here's a quote:
In terms of mission design, we wanted a fast-paced game with a good variety of things for the player to do. There's a lot of hand to hand combat, ranged combat and navigating around the environments. To a lesser degree, there are also the traditional puzzles and traps that Indy fans expect.
The new screenshots are pretty cool, so be sure to stop by IGN.

A new poll has now been opened, asking this question: Which game being released in the near future are you most interested in? Go vote! It's your civic duty.

Jake called me from his car and said I should update Mojo saying that ScummVM has released 0.3.0b, and that he'll be home later (after a movie) to put up screenshots and write more about it or something.

To make your very own screenshots, go here and download ScummVM! I hear it even has instructions!

He won't tell me what movie he's going to see because he thinks I'll put it in the post. Hah.

IGN has posted a transcript from the last chat session with Bioware and LucasArts concerning Knights of the Old Republic. Here's a highlight:
How is the inventory handled? Can your characters carry only a few large objects each or can they hide an entire warehouse of stuff in their coat ? la Guybrush Threepwood?
JamesOhlen You can carry an entire warehouse.
JamesOhlen However, we're adding several containers on the Ebon Hawk where you'll be able to stash your loot.
JamesOhlen I don't know how useful these containers will be (with an unlimited inventory and all), but for those who want them, they'll be there.
Okay, so maybe that quote isn't very interesting, but we're legally obligated to write about anything that mentions Guybrush Threepwood. Be sure to read the full transcript for actual interesting info, though. This looks like it may be a really cool game.
