About a week ago another Zak 2 fan game has shown up online. Except it's not a new one, it's in fact the original one which was hosted on AdventureGamer.com a while back. They've put up a video trailer for the game, but it looks nothing like the excellent 2D cartoon art featured everywhere else on their site. The video is all 3D and live-action actors.

The biggest question that I'd like answered but couldn't figure out is: is there any connection between this Zak II fan game, and the other one hosted at Zak2.org? If anyone knows of any connection (besides them both being Zak McKracken fan sequels. shh.), please leave a comment.

Daniel Wishart, webmaster of LucasTones, sends word that he is hard at work to get the site finished, and it is near completion.

However, due to a change in policy by his logo service, he is now only able to send custom logos to people in the United Kingdom. He's got a long list of e-mail requests from the US and Europe, and he is sorry to be unable to process those requests at this time.

Yes, there are so many of them I can't keep track. Readers interested in more LEC/Monkey Island fan art should check out The Brim Stone Beach Club.

According to the site's webmaster, mymipage, the BSBC is the eldest MI fanpage out of it, the MIAC, and Mojo Art. Go take a look at The Brim Stone Beach Club. Sorry I took so long to update about it!

For those who celebrate it and those who don't, Mojo wishes one and all a happy Easter! Go enjoy candy and whatnot! Get fat on chocolate! And, look at this lovely Easter Max up at the Unofficial Sam & Max website.

Today's Penny Arcade news is not so much news as it is staff infighting over the goodness or lameness of Jedi Knight II's multiplayer mode. One of them (Gabe, the one against JKII's multiplayer) has proposed making a "true JKII multiplayer" mod for Unreal Tournament.

Here at Mojo we wonder why they don't make a JKII mod, as that would not end in LucasArts legal shutting down their project. Good times. Anyway, if you want to be amused, or participate somehow, visit this link immediately.

A year and a half after the release of Escape From Monkey Island, The SCUMM Bar has released a review of this most controversial title. As many Monkey Island fans are aware, this title was cause for endless debate concerning its overall quality, as well as how it fit into the series as a whole.

Therefore, instead of doing one review, several of the TSB staffers have submitted their impressions of the title, creating a series of mini-reviews. The feature is well worth reading, so check it out already! Also, you are welcomed to leave feedback, or your own EMI review in the comment area.

Interested in more fan art after last night's look at the MIAC? Well fear not, as there is a second big gallery lurking about on the Web: Mojo Art.

Though it shares a name, url, and color scheme with our Mixnmojo, MojoArt is an entirely different beast. Started by JBRAA during our 4 month downtime (remember that?) originally as a Mixnmojo.com-related art page, it has since branched off to instead cover LucasArts games.

Just letting you know that LucasForums, the host of Mojo's forums, is in the middle of a server move, so some posts may be lost, and it may be up and down for the first half of today.

Hopefully, though, when this move is finished, the hours of downtime and MySQL errors which we've been seeing will be gone for good!

Update: The forums are all moved and working, so unless your ISP hasn't switched the domain info to the new server, you should be able to go post crazy!

This is probably old old stuff to many, but I'm sure there are quite a few potentially interested readers who have never visited The Monkey Island Art Connection.

The online gallery, run by Haggis, Haxaty, and Dank, is probably the most complete collection of (and home of some of the nicest looking) Monkey Island fan art you can find online. If you're looking for a fan art fix, new wallpapers, or are just bored, you should stop by the MIAC.

PS: Ignore art by that "Jake" guy. It is no good.

Skyfox, founder of The Monkey Island SCUMM Bar and pretty much the guy who started the who MI online community announced that he will be leaving the site after 6 years of running and updating the site. Here's an exerpt of his update:
Well, looks like this is it folks... after 6 years in the Monkey Island web business, it's time for me to take a back seat. Both this site and #monkey-island will be under the (ruthless) control of RemiO, he's done a fantastic job of late.. and he will not let us down. (no pressure mate!)
We here at Mojo wish Skyfox the best in all his future endeavers and especially wish to thank him for starting the MI community, because if he hadn't, Mojo would probably not be around today. Good luck mate!

On a personal note, I'd just like to say that back in the day (God I'm not that old am I?) The ScummBar was THE Monkey island site, and still is. Anything MI you wanted you got there - Including the inspiration to build the site that eventually became Mojo.

Sky has been a friend for all this time (Mojo is 5 this summer) and i'm sure shall remain one.. Also I bet we will still see his face around here for some time to come. Enjoy yerself Ian! - Spaff.

Zaarin (no, not that Zaarin) has returned from his South American voyage and has gotten back to updating Mixnmojo's hosted Dig site. The community forums are back up, and there is a new design on the horizon for that site. Check it out!

The Grim Fandango Network is sporting a new redesign by official Mojo Network Slave, Metallus. The new design (their fourth revision) features a php script based backend and quick access to hot forum threads.

Also, GFN has picked up three new sites: The Grim Mausoleum, The Rusty Anchor, and Grim Fandango World. Some of them seem to still be setting up, but they're worth checking out at least with the intent of visiting them again soon.

Paco Vink, illustrator and co-webmaster of Mojo Network site World of MI has completed and published the ninth page of his comic book rendition of Monkey Island 1. As usual, the quality is great, so go read. The previous eight pages are of course available if you missed any.

I wouldn't regularly post silly POTD's like this, but after working on both Mixnmojo and the Urban Terror Quake III Mod this is pretty hard to resist. Fun times.

As some of you might have noticed already, the majority of hosted sites on LFNetwork are back and fully functioning since the server move. However, there were a few that did not come back online as quickly as the rest.

While some are still offline, I'm glad to announce that two large sites have returned. The veteran LEC gaming site LucasGames.com is back online, as is Escapemi.com, LG's haven for Monkey Island fans.

Hopefully we'll see the rest of the sites around the LEC community returning soon.

Fans of Trapezoid's Animutations will be glad to see this tribute to his fine work, complete with Matthew Lesko cameo, in the form of 'The Internet in a nutshell' (Ignore the lame beginning part! :).
