Submit Your RTX Questions! 20 Dec, 2002 / Comments: 39
(Closed!) Here's your chance to become famous! Well, not really, but you should participate anyway. We at Mixnmojo have been granted an exclusive interview with the producers of Hal Barwood's upcoming action adventure, RTX Red Rock.
If you would like to submit your own questions, please leave a comment on this post or send a Mojo Message to telarium and we will pick the best ones. Keep in mind that most of these questions will be answered by the producer Reeve Thompson, but if you'd like to submit a few questions to Hal Barwood as well, he may just surprise us and answer a few of them. Note the emphasis on "few."

Does he see Hok as a viable alternative to Cod?
Also, boxers or briefs...?
- Do you think there might be a PC port some day?
- The RTX team has reportedly taken much effort in bringing the scenery to life. Can you give us some examples of that?
- Who is working on this game? Who did the concept art, who's leading the art, programming, etc.?
- Is E.Z. intended as a subtle parody on sci-fi action heroes (Buck Rogers, James T. Kirk, etc.) This obviously needs rephrasing but you know what I mean.
- Will there be different difficulty settings?
- Why are E.Z.'s pants now green instead of blue?
- Describe IRIS' role in the game?
- Are the cutscenes in the game pre-rendered movies or in-game?
erm... that's it
Unless someone actually cares about the trousers... I would ask something more about the detail of the graphics. Any bump-mapping? This was missing in the Clone Wars and Bounty Hunter...
Cam anyone remember when Lucasarts graphics led the field...? Well, at least Sony Online seems to be bolstering the graphics if the games aren't going to stand up to much... (rant, rant, rant...)
I apologise if I have offended anyone but I had a bad morning and took to the internet to make myself feel better.
However, the graphics point stands. Thank you for your time :o)
I don't know where that came from, but I am dying to find out his preference.
He'll probably still be along for the ride with things like Sam & Max, would you not think...? I'm mean, look at Indy...
But then again, Peter McConnell did it as well... I'm sure something will appear!
I got nothin'.
Ask him when The Dig 2 is coming out! And will it take place completely in Space-Time 6? That would be cool. There wouldn't really be any puzzles, per se. You'd just have to think really hard. Or something.
Also, maybe he has some cool pics of vomiting pumpkins?
Due to your previous involvement in numerous adventure games, how do you feel these may have influenced you in the implementation of ideas into RTX and to what extent is there a truly "adventure" feel to this game?
This is kinda what people have already said but I thought I'd make mine sound a bit more intellectual! LOL
Oh, and if anyone's feeling brave enough, ask him how he feels about the FOA2 project. Does he condone the actions or is he at all interested in how the property he first worked on is being expanded in the fan universe?
Right, I'll leave it at that.
There is still some hope for him. But as the lawyers will probably be standing around at the interview saying "you don't have to answer that. the company line is we've considered it and it does seem a possibility in the future faff faff faff..."
Maybe we could smuggle Hal to an unknown location and indoctrinate him back to the ways of yonder years...
Okay, stick a fork in me! I'm done... :-)
Such is the way of the media these days... :-) (a cinical newspaper reading Brit...)
We hear (I don't know from where) that IRIS the foxy robot is in love with EZ Wheeler, all the while our hero's middle name is Zeno ? was that clandestine bit of irony intentional? An amorous robot, something commonly cold and unaffectionate, versus the guy named after a Stoic philosopher?
(the whole Iris = Fatima thing and the sci-fi theme)
Also, if the game does well in consoles, can we expect a PC version?
And what about the puzzles, will they include inventory use and character interaction or will they be the kind of puzzles where you have to jump over platforms and pull a lever.
