e3 2006 excites you 10 May, 2006, 16:25 / 18 comments

The LucasArts web-site has been updated with a big whizzy show-case full of all your most anticipated games. There's... an Indiana Jones game! And... a roller coater simulation! Wow! I love roller coasters.

And... Traxion? What the hell?

Oh, and LucasArts are also hiring, presumably to refill the places of all the people they sacked!

You guys notice all the AWSOME puzzles in this new Indy game???

The smash the guys face on the table puzzle looked interesting, but not as interesting as the throwing the guy into the parked car over and over again puzzle.

Glad to see Lucas Arts hasnt forgot how to do an adventure! Because when I think of Dr. Jones, I think of a 12 hour bare knuckle brawl! Just like the movie!

Oh wait, everything I have said here was sarcastic...damn.

To be fair, what they were trying to show in that trailer / recruitment drive was the enemy AI and the game world physics.

I'm sure there will be some action-adventure puzzling and exploring in there too.

Uhm, ok, I admit. I didnt watch the "trailer" till now.

    Anywho..

Did you see they advertize they are hiring people, in the end of the "trailer"?

I kinda wonder if it is really needed? Doesnt anyone wanna work at LEC these days?, so they need to include job stuff into trailers? :)

    Just speculation... :)

Or maybe it's because, like Gabez said, they pretty much fired everybody two years ago.
  • JBRAA on 11 May, 2006, 10:52…
    I know..
I just wanted to imply that LEC sux, and nobody want to work there, so they need to combine a Indy "trailer" with a job ad. :)
Its fun to tease LEC. :)

His face could improve to look more like Indy?...
  • Udvarnoky on 10 May, 2006, 22:27…
Maybe they couldn't/wouldn't make a deal with Harrison Ford to use his likeness? Don't know why else they'd make his face so intentionally different.
  • jp-30 on 10 May, 2006, 23:34…
    Well, it could be worse...

    Indiana Joe

Silly Gabez.... It's: A Circus! Wow, I love a circus!

Bitter as I'd like to be--Indy is looking quite fun.
  • Udvarnoky on 10 May, 2006, 16:57…
Agreed. It might end up being little more than a beat-'em-up, but it seems to be an enjoyable one.
  • Udvarnoky on 10 May, 2006, 17:05…
Dammit, they're not porting it to PC are they? Dammit!
  • Gabez on 10 May, 2006, 19:30…
I dunno... was Emperor's Tomb originally on consoles and later ported?
  • jp-30 on 10 May, 2006, 23:29…
Yeah, it was initially announced as X-Box & PS2 only, but also came out for PC. So I'm hoping for a similar occurence here.

There's never been an Indy game in the LucasArts / LucasFilm Games era that hasn't come out on PC.
  • Gabez on 10 May, 2006, 16:50…
Yeah, I don't actually think it's too bad a line-up. It could have been a lot worse, and the new Indy game could be really cool.
