With Disney's commitment to gaming we might finally get that iPad port of Indy's Desktop Adventures!
....although I'd much rather have another Fate of Atlantis style adventure, but I won't be holding my breath.

Telltale is an atrociously bad idea for a developer to helm a new Indy game. Just awful. They hardly make adventure games, let alone ACTION adventure games. I'm sorry, but I'd prefer something other than an animated QTE Choose Your Own Adventure book for any new Indy games that came along. In the name of all that is good and holy, I pray that Telltale never gets its grubby little fingers anywhere close to the Indiana Jones IP.

I guess my mind would be blown if we saw an Indy game along the lines (and on par quality-wise) of the Uncharted series. Or a series!

I enjoyed this. The sad fact is that I guess they couldn't make games that were as fun to play as Tomb Raider or Uncharted. Or maybe they just didn't want to be seen to be "copying" other games.
That still makes no sense though. Even if they had outright copied Tomb Raider and replaced Lara with Indy that game would have recouped its development costs. It's not like that stranglehold on quality was a problem when it was time for RTX Red Rock.

My ideal Indy game:
1) The explorable, large exotic places of Infernal Machine;
2) The character interaction of Fate of Atlantis;
3) The fighting system of Emperor's Tomb;

Nicely written, Jason.
I've been saying it for years, and I still think there's potential for an Indiana Jones game to move more into RPG territory - controlling a party with Indy and a sidekick or two, making it more adventurey with a good overarching storyline, like KOTOR, with dialogue puzzles (and other puzzles), disguises, weapons, exploration and side-quests etc and a more measured pace than the slug / shootfests of the last Indy titles.
I'm sorta with you there, a KOTOR style RPG might work, but I'm not sure what they'd do for skills and things like that, I mean KOTOR suits it because of the force and other Jedi shenanigans. The only game I can see coming out of Disney for Indy would be a Tomb Raider clone. I seriously doubt we'd get an adventure. I'd give a Monkey Island 3 a better chance.
