Um, news! 29 Jul, 2002 / Comments: 11
LucasArts.com has again updated it's 20th anniversary site with a new image, as well as making some necessary (ahem) corrections. The new image is concept art from The Empire Strikes Back, which I assume was made into a LucasArts game at some point :).
I have a few small pictures of it in my '97-'98 catalog, and it shows what appears to be a painting of Kyle and Jerec fighting beneath some statues in the Valley of the Jedi.
The final boxcover shows computer-created models of Kyle and Jerec fighting, this time in an Imperial building of some sort, as stormtroopers fire yellow laser bolts.
I also have on my computer a scanned version of the painting that was done for the box of the JK/MotS compilation (from the artist's webpage) showing a first-person view of a fight with Darth Vader.
Not to mention some old JK 1 screens lifted from LucasArts' old product page (found via web.archive.org) and a few versions of the first JO logo released...neat, huh?
I've played it on a SNES emulator on my PC, and that's a design for the main menu background.
Metallus have you been hitting the wacky tabacky? :)
