Ultimate Showdown Round 3 08 Sep, 2002, 13:19 / 24 comments

Finally, the moment you've all been waiting for: a new poll! After days of stalling and an amazing tied vote between Robox and the fat skeleton guy from that one cutscene in CMI, Round 3 of the Ultimate Poll Showdown has begun. Having tied, Robox and fat skeleton dude are now fighting on the same team, taking on none other but Tim Schafer himself (who won the second half of Showdown Round 1).

Who will win? Only week after week of the same, stagnating, voteless poll will decide. To vote, just click on the team you think should win in the fight, down on the right side of the page.

enybody ho now where i can download THE DIG?
  • Jake on 12 Sep, 2002, 18:27…
Many eBay sellers will happily "download" you a used copy of The Dig for about 10 dollars. The software is downloaded, somewhat slowly, via postal service. As a bonus though you can often also download the original box, manuals, and CD through this method.

i think that given Robox's superior size, he would manifest himself as the supreme commander of a force of tiny robox dudes, similtaneously crushing his own creator (thats what creations do) and the stupid fat skeleton, and then marching over their blood filled graves with a great anger fueled by his hate for humanity , his eyes filled with machinic rage.

Tim should never have dabbled with electronics.

I don't think the fat skeleton dude would leave a bloody grave. Maybe robox and his small cardboard army can march across his dust and crumbly bone bit filled grave (and also Tim's blood filled grave). Everyone wins!

But since Robox was created by tim....wouldnt you think that tim would know some secret way of destroying him?
  • telarium on 09 Sep, 2002, 13:52…
Actually, Robox wasn't created by Tim. I believe he told me in an e-mail that it was created by some kind of sculpter artist across the street from their office.

I thought it was the guy next door. Anyway...
  • Shanty on 09 Sep, 2002, 08:21…
IF Robox and FSG could cooperate Tim would be in trouble. But Tim'd be all "Robox! As your creator I comman that you DESTROY fat skelly." And Robox would, being already upset with him for nearly beating him in round two.

    Tim will win because:

he has the insanity of a MANTANIEE
  • Huz on 10 Sep, 2002, 18:29…
You, sir, have the insanity of a Sunday matin?e. (Edit: I should really read other people's jokes (hello Jake!) before posting my own.)
  • Jake on 09 Sep, 2002, 16:23…
I think, really, Tim just has the insanity of a man.
  • Paco on 09 Sep, 2002, 13:41…
    Of a mantaniee?

Tim is just a geeky developer while Robox is a real, living and breathing robot-thingie! That Schafer guy would be gone in, like, seconds. Chee Ook Ook!

Tim Team Schafer is whaling on teh box.
  • csenosiain on 08 Sep, 2002, 13:48…
depends does Tim Schafer include his creations like grim fandango and Full throtle?

cause if it does Ben and the Polecats will use Robox for extra gas and skelly is out numbered fromm the skeletons from Grim Fandango

Tim Schafer is a dirty old man.
  • scabb on 08 Sep, 2002, 13:27…
Tim Schafer is neither fat nor dead, or a giant cardboard heap.

That means that he would get his scrawny white god fearing ass kicked.

Tim Schafer lures children into his gingerbread house. A vote for him is a vote for terrorism
