Telltale is BACK 28 Aug, 2019 / 12 comments

. . . or at least the name is. Polygon reports TTG has been acquired by LCG Entertainment, and that, and I quote, "some of Telltale’s back catalog and will work on new games based on a few Telltale-associated properties, as well as new licenses." The Wolf Among Us, Batman, and Puzzle Agent are part of the roster.

We know some other assets have sailed off -- The Walking Dead for example -- and while there are murmurs of former employees coming back in some form or other, it's uncertain how Telltale-y this new Telltale will be. We shall see.

Hmm, I'm not able to log into my account on the Telltale website. I was able to reset my password in case that was the issue, but entering the right password and clicking on 'continue' doesn't seem to do anything, it just hangs on the login screen. Any advice Jen?

Never mind that, I got it to work by trying a different browser (wasn't working in Chrome, but it worked in Firefox).

Agreed! You're the hero these games deserve. I'll download them again asap!

I hope this will mean they'll get the website back in order and allow me to download all the games I purchased. Missed out on that the last time.

Everything should be working fine again. The new web team fixed the authentication server issues while Telltale was going through the process of assignment.

If you or anyone else has any issues downloading purchased games. I am still a moderator there and have been in contact with LCG Entertainment for a while (I just couldn't talk about it until now due to the legal proceedings regarding the assignment).

Let me know the issues you have and I'll make sure the web team knows about it.

Other than that, we'll see what this turns into. I'm guessing it'll be a much smaller venture than what Telltale was towards the end, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I never gave Wolf much of a chance but should try it again, considering it's one of the most well-received games of the WD era. Considering it was already in production and people were excited that it was even announced, I hope they do get a chance to finish it, hopefully with some of the original devs! :)

One article I read specifically said the desire to finish that pre-production Wolf Among Us sequel.

Yeah I agree that they should employ and/or help compensate the former devs - but seeing as the two Puzzle Agent games were among my favorites of all the Telltale's I played I hope they can make something good out of it!

As long as the new season(s) of Batman maintain the quality of the previous series, bring it the heck on.
