"Tell me if this smells like... your doom!" 29 Apr, 2005 / Comments: 8

Mojo is on some sort of roll - we just can't stop writing articles! Well, Remi can't, as he's just filed a review for Psychonauts. What does he have to say for himself?
I know many of you will not take the time to read this review, and I honestly can't say I blame you. We've been covering Psychonauts for so long that you probably have already made up your mind about getting the game or not. In fact, I bet most of you will just glance up at the score, snicker "I knew it" sarcastically, and go on with your lives. And I'm ok with that.
But don't let that stop you. Read it anyway!

This review is not positive enough. Nothing can touch this game that's about as perfect as video games can get. Ever. Double Fine, you crazy bunch, your next few games will be bought and given as presents to all my loved ones with extreme prejudice.

"Distinctive lack of Ron Gilbert diminishes the quality significantly."

Nice review! I'm still playing through the game, but so far I am really surprised with, well, how much I am consistantly surprised by the gameplay, the plot twists and turns, and other various things in the game I wasn't expecting from reading various previews in the years and years leading up to the game's release. I just have to say congratulations to Double Fine Productions on their first of hopefully many great games. Also, I think Scott C. is my hero.
