According to the LA Times, Simon Jeffery "abruptly resigned" as president of LucasArts after three years of leading the company. No other details are given, and LucasArts has not made any comment so far.

Update (Jake): GameSpot reports that Mr. Jeffery "has decided to leave the company and return to his native England with his family." They also say that Mike Nelson, LucasArts' vice president, will be acting general manager until they find a new Simon.
