Sam & Max: This Time It's Virtual gets one mic drop of a launch trailer 08 Jul, 2021 / 4 comments

For those who have found the marketing for this game to be a bit evasive, let it be known that the bashfulness is over:

Sam & Max: This Time It's Virtual will be available to Oculus Quest owners today at 1pm EST. For you social media types, HappyGiant will also be doing an "Ask Me Anything" on Reddit at 8pm EST over at /r/SamandMax. While that may sound like no topic is off limits, it is critical to remember that the developers are really only interested in questions about the characters boning each other.

    Scummbuddy

I guess I never thought to ask but it mentions "Oculus Quest" on the games page. What about Oculus Rift compatibility?? If not now, then maybe it will work when it is released on Steam? That would seem odd.

From what I can gather, it's a timed exclusive for Oculus Quest, before moving to Steam and PlayStation VR.

The Steam version will almost assuredly have support for the usual Steam VR setups (ie: Occulus Rift and HTC Vive).

I have to wait for 2022 as I only have a PSVR. Hopefully the Steam release comes before 2022.

Never release a VR game in summer.
Or add air-conditioning on the requirements.

I can't believe you're making me use Reddit.
