There's so many MM fangames and the DOTT style is so well known, that you can't change it too much. I'd prefer Telltale to do a series that can be truly reinvented.
It just seems to me though, that if you have the balls to take the risks that DOTT did - it basically reset the entire style and tone of its franchise - then "re-inventing" the Maniac Mansion series should pretty much happen by default with a third game.
Somehow I would prefer Loom episodes or even The Dig episodes over Maniac Mansion/DOTT ones. There's so many MM fangames and the DOTT style is so well known, that you can't change it too much. I'd prefer Telltale to do a series that can be truly reinvented.
