Oh, I meant to add that if they had contacted me for the book, I could have given them a copy of the "alternate" cover for X-Wing Alliance I did (I did the actual one), the one with an X-Wing skewering an ewok on its wingtip laser who was trying to run away. That probably would have made the cover.

Jeez, I worked there for 5 years (92-97) and I only just heard about this book. $37 on Amazon? I don't think so. Especially, as someone else here said, it's probably an "official" history of LEC and not an actual one with, you know, interesting stories and stuff. Maybe somebody can loan me a copy.

BTW, did someone here ever get that copy of the FT strat guide? I'm pretty sure I have one somewhere, seeing as how it's the only SCUMM game I worked on there.

Where is this "Secret History" section you speak of? Is it a secret?

The only reason that Commando game was canned was because the staff was unceremoniously dumped. Play the game, they built a sequel into the end!
I for one am looking forward to this book. I've known people who have worked there for years and I bet this book doesn't tell half the stories they told me.

If the sequel was supposed to be called Imperial Commando, shouldn't the first game have been called Republican Commando? :p
