Peter McConnell Interviewed 17 Nov, 2003, 04:22 / 5 comments

Okay, so we actually did this interview back in May at E3, but we're running it now! Peter McConnell, composer behind the soundtracks to Grim Fandango and Full Throttle agreed to talk to us about his upcoming game scores. Unfortunately for us (and him), one of the two was Full Throttle 2. Fortunately for everyone, the other upcoming McConnell score is Psychonauts. Check it out for McConnell goodness and a few bonus MP3's.

You all missed the easter egg. There's a human face hidden in the feature image for this article.

Jake, you misspelled my e-mail address. I don't know if that is a good or a bad thing...

Very interesting indeed. The Psychonauts trailer is *still* causing me grief - I may be forced into X-Box-dom soon. Anyway, back to the music...

Bernard Hermann AND Danny Elfman as inspiration??? Oh my God. This could be better than Grim Fandango in terms of music - though Tim does seem to think this is his best game so far. Vertigo is one of my favourite soundtracks, and to hear Tel say this is similar is GREAT.

The Asylum Exterior track reminds me of Grim Fandango - the start at least. And the start of the Milkman Conspiracy is soooo Day of the Tentacle. Yippee!!!

I truly hope there is a soundtrack released. I would expect it, if the game is really popular. Which it should be, considering the huge press coverage after E3 and all those awards it won.
