Outlaws Patch 15 Jul, 2001 / Comments: 23

Well... this is our first ever piece of Outlaws news I think. Outlaws has been around for about 4 years, and LEC have just released a patch for it! This new patch makes Outlaws Win2K compliant, work in Direct3D and it is possible to play in a resolution up to 1600 x 1200.

Having visited the Outlaws support site, I discovered that old updates of Outlaws have provided many new maps to play on, so if you didn't know that, you can re-live some classic cowboy moments.

I'm off to download the patches and shoot some varmits, or whatever the hell that word is.

Ah, yes, Outlaws! I remember that one. I've only played the demo though, but it was fun to play. Btw, someone mentioned an Outlaws mod for HL. Where could I get it?

http://www.geocities.com/olmod4hl/ you can't get the Mod just yet. The beta version is scheduled to be released sometime soon since the Alpha version critiques are being processed. Stay tuned ;)

actually i think a guy/gal at LEC was quickly told to make this patch (or someone just made it in his/her sparetime) because the OL Mod for Half Life reaches beta fase shortly! :) And I tested the Alpha version MUHAHAH, it looks good! :)

HOLY F--- YES! I've been playing that thing with a crappy glide wrapper that went all funny in the underwater scenes. Now they need to add 3D support (and mouse-look) to Dark Forces. Thank you LEC!

Use the addies below to find the pics :D (both +/- 150kb) http://www.queztone.com/1024-768-D3D-1.jpg http://www.queztone.com/1024-768-D3D-2.jpg

Three? Aw, I thought I was the only one, so that I could make up fake cowboy phrases and try'n pass them off as authentic. Like, "Well butter mah bronco and call 'im brisket!" or something.

I thought they buried that game years ago. It's great to see that they still care about their old games. Now we just need a similar patch for the classic adventures.
  • LGH on 16 Jul, 2001, 07:14…
Yeah, but the patch for Outlaws was perhaps easier to create, since that game was already Windows-bades after all.

Outlaws is a veeeeeeery cool game :D played it for many years :) Oh just grabbing the oppertunity to give out my respect to the WAC, SWE and SOD for staying around for so long. Also to Paleface and OGB website! :D
