Old Sam and Max TV Series coming to GameTap 21 Sep, 2006, 21:21 / 7 comments

Legolas813 at Adventuregamers.com has posted in the forums that GameTap's animation channel is going to have the old Sam & Max cartoon series available soon.
Just saw a lengthy video trailer for the Freelance Police cartoon series on Gametap. It will be premiering on the Gametap Animation Channel on September 28! I sent some feedback a few weeks ago saying I would love to see Freelance Police on Gametap, but I never thought it would really happen.
Nice cross promotional activity. Now, if only GameTap were available to the world outside of the USA...

Update: Legolas 813 has more info after trying to seek some clarification from GameTap support. Read his new AdventureGamers post here.

I think the best case scenario would be all the episodes being released through gametap even the hard to find or unreleased ones, then the episodes becoming very popular on gametap and warranting a proper DVD release in glorious DVD quality(and possibly HD) and then possibly new episodes.

That would be the day. Still, any news is good news. I can't imagine the gametap episodes being any worse quality that the other copies I've seen.

All the episodes? Even the elusive ones? ooOOOOOoo

If that were true, I would want Gametap very badly right about now.

*Gasp* OMG. I have to agree with Udvarnoky, it would great if they put it on DVD. But still, it's like a dream come true.

This is good news! I'm still a little wary of using Gametap...

As for Youtube, not all the episodes are there...

That's awesome, but considering that Gametap's not yet international and that if anyone wants low-quality online copies of the show they can just go to Youtube, I think a DVD release is still worth hoping for.

Their latest adventure game additions are great though. Last Express is an amazing game.

Ooooooooh, they've added The Last Express!? That's awesome! It's my favourite game in the whole wide world!

Everyone in North America: play this amazing game now! You have no excuse!
