LucasArts.com has today launched the LucasArts Game Discussion Message Boards. What's new is that now you can discuss at the moment four LucasArts games, and your passion for them, or questions about them, within LucasArts official site. The LucasArts Technical Support forum just got a big brother. You can currently discuss these four games: Mercenaries, Star Wars Battlefront, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, and Star Wars Republic Commando. The individual gameforums each have their own gamebanner on the top each page, which kind of nice, and is easier to recognize which forum you're on. The LucasArts site don't have a "Recent Activity on the Forums" on their front page yet though. You need a Lucas Online membership to post threads.

    At least they'll be open to more accountability and criticism, perhaps not on past projects, but hopefully in the future.

    KOTOR II has a great brand and reputation, which may be dimmed by a "more of the same" approach from Obsidian, but it remains to be seen.

    Battlefront and Mercenaries do seem to be, while more action focused, attempts to innovate by degree.

    Ok, so i just posted a feedback comment on the board about Sam and Max 2 and it got deleted, Nice. Thought it would be up for a little while, atleast.

    Don't bother doing that.

    People polluted the first incarnation of the LEC forums with Sam & Max 2 garbage and it did nothing but make a bunch of extra work for LucasArts.com's web staff, who obviously had nothing to do with the Sam & Max cancellation.

    You're wrong there. In fact, the reason Sam and Max 2 was cancelled was because "Freelance police" sounds similar to "Your mother dates eels" in Tamil, the language of Lucasarts' offshore website/management mind control operation.

    Pff. I wanted to click on an user to see other post he had written, but I couldn't. The forum is very limited. But you can post, and read other posts atleast. It would be nice if you could have personal profile atleast.

    I don't think they want to entirely undermine LucasForums with these new official boards. Only mostly undermine it.
