According to the German ratings board USK, a Special Edition version of The Secret of Monkey Island may be on its way to (of all things) Xbox 360. Presumably this will be downloadable via Xbox Live rather than boxed.
While obviously this must be counted as rumour (not least of which because it raises many questions), let's not forget that just last year USK were the ones that first alerted the adventure gaming community to the existence of Broken Sword on DS and Wii.
Whatever happens, let's hope it's true and that it's coming out on PC and Wii too. Until then, let your imaginations run riot over the tantalising phrase "Special Edition"...
(Additional thanks to Diduz for spotting this first!)

Yikes! And what was the publisher listed for Monkey Island 360? Activision Blizzard!
Wow! Looks like they're really pulling out all the stops for this one!

There, I said it.
Now let's leave alone the fact that you're just some kind of visionary psycho freak, and let's pretend that your Superior Court would listen to you.
Do you really think that it would be fair to take away copyrighted stuff just because you want it? Private property DOES EXIST, would you like me to occupy your house just because I want it, leaving you homeless? C'mon, go to the nearest sanatorium.
So you're really not in any position to be calling me ill-minded.
1) You don't even know what a restraining order is and everyone will laugh (and is laughing) at you
2) LA didn't break the law
3) I always defend things I love, I love(d) LucasArts and they don't deserve a fool speaking of legal issues against'em, 'cause they're a private company and they can do WHATEVER they want with their franchises. So, even if your ridicolous conspiracy story would be true, they CAN do that. Stop it or, quoting Max, "I'll rip your limbs off".
2) I know what a restraining order is,
3) How do you know Lucasarts didn't break the law when they haven't even been investigated yet?
4) So since you love Lucasarts, that makes you a Lucasarts fanboi, right? (That's right, I spelled it with an "i"!)
Regarding the other points:
1) Gee, man, I asked you that question on my first reply to you!
2) Whatever...
4) When I was playing Indy3 you weren't probably born... Call me fanboi, fanboy or spell it as you want, but I love LA and I think it deserves respect. Seems to me like you're the FP "fanboi"... Why don't you marry Sam & Max? Or you'd rather be marrying Farmer and Jameson?

Is it going to feature Duke Nukem Forever levels in it?
It´s in German but the news is clear! No MI 1 for consoles-crap:

Could you translate that?
I tried to read it via Google Translator and I've noticed that someone in the comment section still stands for the original news.
They deleted it from the list.
My take on this: Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean it's all not true. Of course the USK wouldn't come out and say "yes, it's true, we put something on the site that we shouldn't have", and the translator not knowing about it doesn't really mean anything either, I'd think. We'll probably find out at E3 whether it's true, or just a big hoax after all.
Introducing these people to the 'Carribean piratey voodoo world' can only mean a bigger target audience for Tiller to tap into.
...Telltale is making it! :-P
What it could be is a few nuggets thrown the way for conventional gamers when that new zcam is revealed for the Xbox by MS at E3.
The zcam which tracks movement better than the Wii mote could in theory work as a mouse pointer thus enabling playing these classic adventures games on XBLA.
