Monkey Island: Special Edition date and pricing 09 Jul, 2009, 23:00 / 10 comments

You probably already know that The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition will be released for PC and XBLA next Wednesday, July 15th. But a recent twitter by LEC also reveals the price point: $9.99 on Steam and 800 Microsoft Points on XBLA. (I think other distribution channels will carry the PC version, but I don't know which.)

Between this and the reasonable prices for the Steam heritage adventure releases, it's good to know that LEC is doing right by its customers. I imagine it will pay off for them.

    $10 ?!! I'll probably be buying 3 copies on PC and 3 copies on XBLA for support and love :)

    And pricing it 10 bucks would be fitting for the line at the end of the game where guybrush says that you don't need to spend more than $20 on a video game. HA!

    Didn't you guys notice that a mini-game named Guybrush's Treasure Hunt has been announced in the demo? And the Telltale guy in the thread I opened at TTG's forums told to stay tuned... Guess what's that!
