Out of blue, from Microsoft to you: MONKEY ISLAND: SPECIAL EDITION - the E3 Preview Video.

You weren't expecting the actual game, were you? Still plenty of time for Marketplace Realities yet...

Of note is the fact that they chose to use an image made by LucasForums member parabolee, rather than any official artwork. The Mojo lawyers are considering the legal impact of sending an ironic 'cease and desist' letter to LucasArts as we speak.

    Thanks everyone. Just glad it might help bring in more players. Because the official artwork would more likely put people off, IMO.

    Good interview, but was anyone else looking jealously at the two games on either side of the booth? Tales of Monkey Island and Lego Indy 2?

    I liked the bananas draped on the monitor though.

    And apparently the Special Edition's done, so it must be out soon.

    This isn't LucasArts, folks, it's an MS produced video. Clearly the person making it picked the best image they could find on Google search..... which WASN'T the official artwork. Lol!!!

    Was this a LucasArts made video or a Microsoft thing? After a quick check it seems that a google image search gives parabolee's version as the first result - maybe someone got lazy?

    Microsoft produced, no new footage, more of an interview with some footage spliced in. Searching 'Monkey Island Special Edition poster' also brings up parabolee's posters. I love it when stuff like this happens.

    It's essentially the same as http://e3.gamespot.com/story/6210601/the-secret-of-monkey-island-special-edition-first-look just with the UK XBL presenter and 'live' at E3 rather than in a studio

    congratulations parabolee that is truly awesome. Anyone know what video they were showing? I live in the UK but my xbox is at uni, DAMN.
