LucasArts classics getting UK reissue 04 Dec, 2006 / Comments: 7

Over on the Adventure Gamers forums, Stain has posted that there is a new line of LucasArts reissues being sold under the Lucas Classic Line banner. These include many of the old adventures that have long been out of print, including The Dig, Full Throttle, Sam & Max Hit The Road, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango, Monkey Islands 3 & 4.

No official word yet, but one would expect the games to ship with an XP compatible launcher.

They might be re-releases: I bought them all a couple of years ago (from an e-Bay seller, at a bargain price). I don't remember if they had an XP launcher but with ScummVM for the Scumm games and Quick and Easy launchers for the 3D ones I don't feel the need for one (even if it would be appropriate of them to provide one).

It's not that he hates them, it's just that George Bush doesn't care about adventure games.

As usual, Activision cares more about the older games than LucasArts itself does.
