LucasArts announces E3 2004 lineup 04 May, 2004 / Comments: 16

In a press release that just arrived in inboxes across the globe, LucasArts has announced their game lineup to be shown at E3 2004. Heading up the list is Knights of the Ol' Republic 2: The Sith Lords. The game takes place 5 years after the first KOTOR, and is to be available for the Xbox and PC.

The other games on the list (none of which are shocking, by the way, so don't get too excited) are Mercenaries, Star Wars Battlefront, Star Wars Republic Commando, and Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed, and Return to Monkey Island. We'll have (a teeny bit) more on these games for you when we scope out the LucasArts booth at E3, May 14th.

    Over the last few years they've always announced a "surprise" game after all the rest (JK II, FT2, S&M2). Is it too late to be optimistic?

    You do realize that two games you mentioned that they announced as a "surprise" were cancelled, don't you? So, even if they did, we'd likely to be screwed still.

    GameSpot has a first look of KOTOR: SL... the only decent game in the entire line-up.

    Character with amnesia?

    Well, one thing I'm happy about - no 6 month gap between Xbox & PC KOTOR launch this time around.

    Notice that LEC posted them all at once this year.

    In past years they've announced the titles on a day-by-day basis, trying to generate suspense and excitement.

    I guess this year somebody in charge of the website realizes that there is actually nothing to be excited about.

    The page www.lucasarts.com/e3/ that used to (up until yesterday) show the 2003 lineup now just redirects to the LucasArts homepage.

    yeah I know. I tried www.lucasarts.com/e3/default.htm but that one auto-redirect also. Where the hacking with Ramzi when you need him. hehe =)

    Hacking? Just use archive.org to look back on the old e3 sections;
