LucasArts Announcement That They Previously Announced Gets An Announcement 09 Sep, 2009 / Comments: 8

LucasArts are all set to reveal their new game on GameTrailers TV this Thursday, according to presenter Geoff Keighley's Twitter. But then we already knew this anyway.

We're still assuming it's Lucidity, especially given all their recent teasing. It will be good to find out what this interesting-sounding game will actually be about at last.

Let's just hope it's not that Clone Wars MMO everyone cared so little about no one commented on poor jp-30's news post.

UPDATE 1: Hmm, the plot is thickening into a strange curdling. GameTrailers have released their promo for the show, and I don't know if they're just throwing us a red herring but those blurred pictures used for the "secret announcement" are clearly Monkey Island concept art...

Oh, they'll also have some stuff on their other upcoming games too: Lego Indy II, The Force Unleashed Sith Edition & Clone Wars: Republic Heroes.

    "LucasArts is going back to its roots!". Not only we are not sure if it is about Lucidity; we don't even know what Lucidity is about. A statement like that, with those images of Grim and DOTT make me really happy, whatever the announcement might be about. GameTrailers knows what Rodriguez will talk about, and the teaser is that they are going back to their roots. If Lucidity means that they are back to their roots, I'm happy, and if its something else, I'm happy to know that they will finally release a game that goes back to the roots.

    Those pieces of concept art are from MI1, so yeah, I'm assuming that's a red herring.

    Yeah, and the one with LeChuck looks like the art used for the statue.
    The announcement probably won't be about Monkey Island, it'll be about Lucidity.

    you're right, judging by the the blurry concept art of the main character of Lucidity that appeared with the monkey island concept for less than a second.

    I for one am excited.
