Lego Indy 2 semi-confirmed 13 Mar, 2009, 14:34 / 5 comments

The CV of an animator at Traveller's Tales revealed some unannounced Lego projects at the studio - which is the way most gaming secrets seem be be revealed these days. She then confirmed it, but then stupidly said that both games are unconfirmed (huh?).

They are, fairly predictable, Lego Harry Potter and Lego Indy II. However, the biggest surprise is that the latter is going to be called Lego Indiana Jones II: The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, suggesting that the whole game is going to be based around Indy IV.

I was under the impression that Lego lost the rights to Harry Potter. Did they get them back?

Not so much lost the rights, more decided not to make any more sets in that line. So it is strange that LEGO have approved a game, but perhaps seeing they have the whole 6 or 7 movies to draw from, a game is a bit of a no-brainer.

Maybe they'll re-release a few older Harry Potter sets during the hype for the final film?

Traveller's Tales is owned by Warner Brothers, and I guess they want the game to tie in with the upcoming film.

There is a proper EA one coming too, though.

As for LEGO, though, it is a tad odd...
