LEGO Star Wars sells 1.1 million units 22 Sep, 2006, 05:08 / 10 comments

Always encouraging to see a good LucasArts title selling well, and LEGO Star Wars: The Original Trilogy has done just that, taking the top spot on gaming charts worldwide and shifting a staggering 1.1 million units in its first week of release.

You'll never have so much fun playing in that Galaxy Far, Far Away as you will in this LEGOised version. Taking all the humourous elements that made the first LEGO Star Wars (prequel story) such a surprise hit and further refining the special moves, bonuses, and vehicle aspects has made a brilliant concept even better.

Developers Traveller's Tales are reportedly now working on a LEGO Batman game.

    Don't forget all the expenses and taxes they have to pay for. But even after all of that, they still make a large profit. So yeh, they will probably make more starwars games because it is their biggest franchise.I don't know if you like the Monkey Island games, but I think it would be great if they reopened that franchise.

    tahanks, i feel like i know you guys already from reading your comments over the years. spaff, gabez, bgbenny(sorry for misspeling names and leaving everyne else important out). i'm guessing a lot of you oldtimers are skandinavian?
    i know this isn't the right place for this, but there seems to be more activity on the frontpage than on the forums the days;
    i'm trying to record some video from Loom(enhanced cd version), but am having trouble with the mousecursor showing up in the final videos(running through scummvm, windowed). anyone know how to bypass/fix this?

    Hee, Scandinavian? The three names you mentioned are all British, though I believe Remi is some kind of bizzare Norwegian/American hybrid.

    Even though the forums aren't super active, you should still try that question over there... the help response is fast and good, and that way people can ask more questions without clogging up the comment space (which is instead clogged up with mindless drivel like this comment, but whatever) ;

    I hope so, the first LEGO Star Wars game got a great write up from Gabez.

    I'm just annoyed that I haven't got the funds to buy it for another couple of weeks. And, here, I'll plug my LEGO SW Game modding tutorial again for the hell of it.

    They're still here (click) but weirdly missing from the main page, probably because of something I did.

    Welcome to the exciting world of Mojo comments, by the way.
