LEC Customer Survey 27 Jun, 2002, 11:21 / 28 comments

LucasArts has posted a customer questionnaire which asks you a few questions about console preference, hardware choices, and also making an appearance are questions about LEC original games. So if you have about 10 minutes, head over to the LEC survey and fill it out. Sadly, if your favorite LEC game is "Night Shift" you won't be able to choose it so pick another fav. :) The survey will be up until June 30.

Eeek! Why did they make me choose three favorite games from all those fab adventures? That's not fair. :P

What?? No "other" option for your main gaming system. I use a Linux PC for gaming. Monkey island 1 & 2, sam&max, dott play through scummvm, CMI and EMI play through WINE (way to run windows programs in linux). That's about all I play really ;)

I have to say I voted for a sequel to Outlaws... Now, I don't want everyone beating me to death! I obviously voted for MM, Sam 'n' Max, Monkey Island etc. but as Simon has confirmed that there will be more MI games in the future, I want them to revisit Outlaws...

I love that game and still, today, listen to the soundtrack. Clint Bajakian is a genius!!! :-)

OK, who else desperately wants a sequal for MM/DOTT, and Grim Fandango! (Stupid Question... I'm on a Lucasart fan site! :))
  • Jayel on 28 Jun, 2002, 00:48…
I want a sequel for MM, but I don't want a sequel to Grim Fandango, ever!!! GF2 would be like Hollywood equivalent of Citizen Kane 2.
  • Entity on 28 Jun, 2002, 15:20…
    Thats true...

    If TS did it though...

I definately want to see a sequal for MM/DOTT though - Great games! :)

    Here, here!

If anyone other than Tim Schafer attempted a sequel to GF, it would be a traversty.

But I also believe Tim shouldn't do one as GF is perfectly rounded and doesn't need a sequel, as with The Dig. 'Cept the Dig isn't exaclty perfectly rounded... Bit jaggedy at the edges... :-) But still, a good jaunt...
  • NeuroticJuicer on 28 Jun, 2002, 23:01…
I agree, it would take a team of highly trained monkeys to match Tim's genius...
however, I would not be opposed to the idea of either a sequel merely using the same game world but a different sort of story and different characters (except for possible recurrences like glottis), rather than the episodic feel of monkey island or anything like that. But I do agree, it does not make much sense to try and continue the story on from where it ended - it could be done, but in all likelihood it would be done quite poorly.

    I don't know. I voted for a Dig 2.
  • Swordmaster on 28 Jun, 2002, 12:13…
I voted for Sam & Max.
  • Remi O on 28 Jun, 2002, 19:06…
    Yeah, me too.
  • Shanty on 29 Jun, 2002, 05:20…
What? No one wants another Loom?!
  • Cursed Tuna on 30 Jun, 2002, 16:51…
I want Looom 2! And Zak McKraken too! It should be great!
  • TheRealSchmatz on 29 Jun, 2002, 21:13…
    Oh yeah, I do
  • TheRealSchmatz on 27 Jun, 2002, 15:34…
    Oh, forgot something...
Anyone else notice that on the sequels question, Maniac Mansion was on the list? Can you say Day of the Tentacle? Oh, yes, they can, because they put it on the same question heh.
  • DJG on 27 Jun, 2002, 19:24…
Some people might have played either one or the other, or may not have realized one was a sequel.
  • Scummbuddy on 28 Jun, 2002, 11:10…
maybe lucasarts people who put up the question didn't know. they did specify monkey island games as linked.
  • DJG on 28 Jun, 2002, 11:23…
Well they all have "Monkey Island" in the title. Someone playing DOTT wouldn't necessarily know it was a sequel to Maniac Mansion, except for a few similar characters.
  • TheRealSchmatz on 27 Jun, 2002, 15:32…
    Damn... no Night Shift... :/
  • Jayel on 28 Jun, 2002, 00:52…
    And no X-wing/Tie-figher variety either...
But at least there's Afterlife! My favorite none-adventure game from Lucasarts!
    :D

  • telarium on 27 Jun, 2002, 13:44…
I can verify that, as I got it as well. In fact, I was updating the news about this just as DJG did, and he beat me. Damn you, DJG!
