In totally unrelated news: the (British) Queen mother is dead... crazy... to
celebrate commemorate the occasion I made
a picture of what she will look like on monday as she is ressurected like Jesus was this time approx 2000 years ago. I thought I'd share it with you. Isn't Easter a happy time?
(I, of course, loved the Queen Mother and would never wish to offend her maysherestinpeace so don't anyone get angry ok? :)
I don't remember an over-sized half-robot attacking a castle being in the news recently.
Oh, and for the record, that "half
arsed Tecan oil baron who noone likes" (it's Texan) who is America's President is the same guy the British government couldn't agree more with at the moment.
Your clever hat is still waiting for collection, should you ever want to use it.
Old dead people are funny. No wait, she's royalty. :-O Come on, Americans make fun of dead presidents all the time and we don't whine about it like little pansies.
For those who said to my previous post that they wouldn't mind such a thing to be done to their picture think of it in this way instead:
Your mother dies, someone decides to make a horrific picture, totally taking the piss out of her, and posts it on an extremely popular web site for everyone to see.
Now would you find that fair?
To sum what I have said up, its not fair for this sort of thing to be done to anyone, let alone someone who has the repect of so many people, not just in the UK but around the world also.
Thanks :)
Robots are cool!
I just find all the commiserations completely superficial. You didn't know her, she didn't know you, the only reason you know about what she did was though a series of telly-obituaries.
The public would therefore see her as a 30 minute clip of filtered narration about 101 years designed to provoke maximum sympathy, and editing out any behaviour considered unseemly in a member of the royal family.
You shouldn't hold such incidents against her, but you should realise that there is a lot more to one person's life than what they show you on the TV and you can't really build a judgment of someone on such biased and carefully monitered material.
I can't say that I would like someone doing that to a picture of me when I die, who HONESTLY wouldn't mind someone doing such a thing to their photography when they die?
I know it may well of been meant as a joke and no harm was meant by it, but i still don't aprove.
Anyway, i have no hard feelins against anyone who has commented, everyone has a right to their own oppinion, hence me puttin down mine. :)
By Monkey Island fans?
Such amazing surprise!
I'm not offended by Spaff's picture at all, but I can't say it made me laugh or even smile either.
I only think it looks kind of unproffesional on the frontpage of this site. (Okay, maybe you don't consider yourself a pro, that might be my mistake).
Oh and Emma, I think Tall Guy deserves a better reply because he's just voicing his fair opinion as we all do.
why should she be more recognized for the war effort than those who were conscripted and then shot if they fought or shot if they didn't.
i could have given a "my husband and i" speech standing on my head. it can be sad when people die but i see no reason to create a pretence of mourning.
I sincerely hope that all you mojo-ers get drunk and dance on my grave when i shuffle of this mortal thingumy - bottoms up.
Everyone who is offended by this has just learned a valuable lesson about the world and the people who inhabit it. It ain't pretty out there ... welcome to the human race.
Nice spelling in the topic, Spaff.
What's more, I think it's really out of place on this site.
There I was thinking Mojo had decent people as staff... And saying that it's just a hoax doesn't really make it any better.
Just to reply to Queztone's comment... There is a reason to mourn, since she did so much in her life-time. Like all she did in World War II. But, since you didn't know that, I guess it's okay! :)
=]
so i heard about Terminator 3 featuring a female baddie too heheh. Could that be her? :P
