    The clouds are animated. :)

Wow, I wasn't really convinced by the background art I've seen until now, but some of the backgrounds in here (like Carla's hut) look just stunning!

I've forgotten, but does the Troll/George Lucas always 'use the Force' to pull the club back?
  • Jake on 20 Jun, 2009, 07:30…
If by "use the force" you mean "plays the animation backwards" then thats what always happened.
  • The Tingler on 20 Jun, 2009, 11:06…
Thought so - but I definitely think that's what's meant to be implied.

Loved the Loom sales pitch... but didn't a sign used to flash on the screen with "Advertisement" or something on it?
  • Giygas on 20 Jun, 2009, 01:27…
Yes, it did. IMHO Cob's voice was horrible, I always imagined him sounding like Cob in Loom's CD version.
  • Capn_Nacho on 20 Jun, 2009, 21:52…
Yeah, I think Cobb's voice is a bit too goofy, too. Not horrible, it's a capable enough performance, but just off.

And, the text appeared over the black dialogue/verb/inventory area at the bottom of the screen, and since that has been removed in the new interface version the text no longer displays. Probably in Classic mode still, though.

It was nice seeing you there man. I liked the end with Stan's theme song. Very well done composing by Jesse Harlin.

I loved the play through! I'm a picky person when it comes to companies updated/messing with things I love. But LucasArts really look like they got this right! God I hope they release more updated adventure games...

Just got back from watching the playthrough and I've got to say I'm pretty impressed with the work they did. They picked the PERFECT voices for even the less important charcters (like Bob). I also liked how they did the graphics. Especially when you enter the shopkeepers store. The lighting was just beautiful in there. the voices are really top-notch and fit the charcters well. My friends THIS is what you call a remake.
-Nickelstein, the guy who kept typing in caps throughout the whole playthrough and annoyed the LucasArts employer playing the game to no end.

I assume there will be an archive?

Also, are they continuing the play-through next week? I was hoping the game may be released a week or so before Tales Ep 1.
  • Izzy on 19 Jun, 2009, 23:10…
Yes they will. Same place but not so sure about the time. They said next week. See you there if your going!

    I love Loom Guy's voice.
    And the composition, Just Stellar.
  • Udvarnoky on 19 Jun, 2009, 22:17…
Nice, they used the same guy who did Otis in MI4.
  • Udvarnoky on 19 Jun, 2009, 22:41…
I know it's wishful thinking, but it'd be nice if Telltale could somehow nab Earl Boen and the Voodoo Lady dame at the last minute for Tales. After being the voices for three out of four games (with MI2 possibly in the future?), it'd be nice if Telltale could keep continuity. I know LEC isn't funding Tales, but if LEC is managing to track down certain actors without issue it seems like they can point Telltale in their direction.
  • neon_git on 19 Jun, 2009, 22:59…
In Dom's thread on the Telltale pre-order forums he said that Earl Boen had retired to Hawaii and was only doing the occasional gig. I'm guessing he wasn't interested in putting in the amount of work required for a full season.
  • Udvarnoky on 19 Jun, 2009, 23:02…
    That explains it, then.
  • The Tingler on 20 Jun, 2009, 00:22…
Shame, but let's hope for the Voodoo Lady at least.

    Still, Hawaii? What a pro!
  • Remi O on 20 Jun, 2009, 15:29…
I'm pretty sure the Voodoo Lady has been confirmed as being the same actress.
  • The Tingler on 21 Jun, 2009, 16:23…
    In Tales?
