I didn't know there were that many fireflies in the world 10 Sep, 2009 / Comments: 11

Despite the game not being out yet, an achievements page for LEC's totally still secret Lucidity is quite existent online. Apart from giving the heavy indication that the game's release on XBLA is more than imminent, the achievement descriptions reveal new aspects about the game, sort of. Apparently butterfly collecting is a big deal, there are bonus levels, and the game's story is comprised of three acts. What's the point of even playing it now.

Stay tuned for LEC's official announcement of the game later this week.

Looks interesting from the GameTrailers announcement.

    It's Friday...

    Did they announce it?

    Never mind.

I hate publishers that reveal achievements for their game before the game's out - let alone announced!

    Heh, why?

Because it often reveals far too much about the game. I mean, do you really want to know all the chapter titles of Brutal Legend?

But you have to go wildly out of your way to find that information out! Okay so you can argue that the gaming media DOES go out of its way to find that information, and then publishes it in speculative form, but at the end of the day you still have to choose to read about it.

I mean I sort of hear you, because it's weird to remain secretive about a project after this sort of thing. Almost like the obscene secrecy relating to the Episode 1 (movie) plot, that was then crippled by the 'Qui-Gonn's Funeral' track on the soundtrack, which was released before the film.

But I've never been even close to angry over pre-release achievement lists.

Oh, it's the same thing as the example you just gave - not to mention that here in the UK The Phantom Menace didn't come out for a couple of months after the US, so we had the books, soundtrack, game and Insider's Guide out first!

I just generally object to any release of easy-to-access information to spoils things from something that's not out yet! Afterwards I'm not so fussy.

Actually, I don't think they announce it. I think they source it from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PartnerNet

Hmm, looks like it might be a side-scroller.

Even the achievements seem to be neat.
Hopefully it will also come out on pc.
