Happy Holidays from LucasArts 22 Dec, 2005 / Comments: 7

A LucasArts Christmas Postcard is seen here, which is showing the company's move to the Presidio from Marin County. When inspecting it more closely, the postcard artwork is very similar to the art and characters that is seen on Lucasfilm.com's website.

I won't say anything about the lack of LucasArts adventure characters on the card, or even that it lacks snow and xmas hats. Write in the comments what film and game characters you can spot.

Also, if you are interested in seeing more christmas postcards from the past, then visit the toysrgus.com site.

Happy Holidays!

Is that Sam & Max poking their cute little heads around the corner there?

No, it isn't, because they've been cancelled! (And also LEC have lost the rights and all this bitterness was *so* last week)

All I do see is the Star Wars characters on their march of death trying to obliterate all original characters from their path!

Considering the company's abandonment of the genre, I'd be more surprised / disappointed if they put adventure game characters in the card.

It may be my eyes, but it does look like the characters from Armed & Dangerous make an appearance crossing the Golden Gate. That's a nice touch (ie. a game featuring non-licensed characters from a 3rd party development studio).

What's up with the pirate ship? Surely they wouldn't mention Monkey Island...

I dont know either. The flying ship is seen on http://www.lucasfilm.com/ also. I dont know what film the flying ship has been in. Could it be that Skywalker Sound, or ILM did some work on some peter pan movie? Thats the best guess I have.

This artwork is really nice. I wouldnt mind haveing it in super high res. Like 4000xsomething. :) Someone have a scanner and that LEC 2002 xmas card?

Oh and this artwork seems to be some kind of pre-concept art to that image they have on www.lucasfilm.com?
