Gladius, Rebel Strike Released 28 Oct, 2003 / Comments: 1

LucasArts.com has announced that Gladius is now out
for PlayStation 2 and Xbox. So go buy it, or something! GameCubers will have to wait until November 3rd (like, a week, man) to enter the arena. Since it wasn't mentioned previously, the nice-looking and entirely GC-exclusive (for the moment) Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike has also been recently released. Hooray!

    Rebel Strike... hmm. Ok, well the bits in the vehicles are awesome. And the cutscenes rock. But the bits where you have to walk around suck, and thats for a simple reason - LucasArts / Factor 5 think that people would rather WATCH their game than actually play it. Its the same as playing GTA 3 in cinematic mode - looks sweet as hell, but not very sensible if you want to actually play the game.

    As long as you have a friend who's equally good at Rebel Strike, the 2 player bits are much fun too. On the whole though, only Star Wars fans need bother with this one.
