For your listening pleasure: The "Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse" soundtrack 23 Mar, 2018 / 9 comments

In these parts, we consider Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse to be the pinnacle of Telltale’s achievements. You may or may not agree, but if nothing else, I’m sure you, too, consider Jared Emerson-Johnson’s soundtrack the best in the trilogy.

It’s odd, then, that Telltale decided not to release an OST from the game, as it had with the previous two seasons. Fear not, though, as we have taken action into our own hands (eight-ish years later) and compiled the soundtrack for you. We give you:

Load them up to the media player of your choice, and dream of what once was.

Wow!! I'm really glad I found this and about this website in general, It's felt like forever for me to find the soundtrack to this game so bunched up nicely like this, I love Jared Emerson-Johnson's work a great deal, but especially in the sam and max games, and by golly Season 3's was the absolute best outta his bunch, beautiful work on him and you to collect 'em all here

Also would love it if it turned out someone had copies of the Devil's Playhouse posters that Telltale used to sell (these ones: https://i.imgur.com/r12cqbQ.jpg ), that they could possibly scan or something? I still kick myself for not grabbing them while they were still available in the store.

I'm selling mine right now: Clicky

Does anyone have backups of the Bone soundtracks that Telltale used to host? They sadly disappeared with the Bone website.

I do believe so. I'll dunk some up in the near future.

Is this bitrate-wise a higher quality than the OGGs that come with the game (once extracted with Benny's tool)? Is this the first taste of the "brewing" Remi mentioned?

If it helps, I just unzipped the first couple of episodes and they are 192kbps CBR MP3s. Haven't heard the direct rips to compare.

Either way, that is going straight on the phone to listen to very soon!

    Yep, just straight rips.

But something MIGHT brew up this weekend.

I love those days when Mojo suddenly springs to life again. Thanks so much for this, lovely to revisit. I assume everyone here would agree, but Jared Emerson-Johnson definitely deserves his place in the 'Lucas-legacy' alongside names as Land and McConnel. Especially because of his work on series like Sam & Max, where he's allowed to go crazy and really has the space where the only real limit is his own creativiry. That said, his work on series where he's more limited by fitting into established musical styles/themes is outstanding as well.
