Fan likes EMI? 01 Apr, 2001, 19:23 / 16 comments

Jack Rodford, a self named "Hardcore Monkey Island Fan" told Mixnmojo earlier today that he really liked Escape From Monkey Island: "I don?t get what all the fuss was about. I laughed a lot." said Rodford, a gamer from Reading, Pennsylvania. Rodford insists that he did, in fact, play the first three Monkey Island games before playing the fourth. "Monkey Kombat was personally my favorite part of the game," continued Rodford, "I couldn't get enough of it. When Guybrush performed the Charging Chimp you can bet that I was up out of my seat doing it right along side him." Rodford has set to start a club of "Hardcord Monkey Fans" like himself who enjoyed EMI. "With any luck, we can have more members than the number of people who have registered mIRC!" More on this story as it develops.

    Sarcasm? What sarcasm?
  • Trapezoid on 02 Apr, 2001, 17:44…
    Oh, sarcasm. *Real* original.
  • Kingzjester on 02 Apr, 2001, 20:54…
Wrong part of the sentence *real* is a adverb, you need a proverb. You're soooo dumb.
  • Trapezoid on 02 Apr, 2001, 21:34…
What the hell are you talking about? I was emphasizing the word "real." I don't know what you're talking about.
  • Kingzjester on 03 Apr, 2001, 16:29…
I was trying to act dumb; the think I wrote doesn't make sense at all. I thought you have emphasized REAL out of sarcasm... You are modifying the wrong word: you should have used: *really*.
  • Trapezoid on 03 Apr, 2001, 16:36…
"Real" sounds more natural, like something you'd actually say. And sarcasm is ultimately something for real life talking...

No, really. If they release MI5, 97.3% of all EMI-bashers will either disappear or change their names and like all the games except MI5.
  • Kingzjester on 01 Apr, 2001, 23:44…
No, I'm quite certain that I will still hate EMI. I liked CMI, so there is no parallel you can draw--there are a lot of people that don't like either game (EMI & CMI), but I'm not one of them.
  • Trapezoid on 02 Apr, 2001, 01:16…
Ok, then, see ya when MI5 comes out. ;P

    BWAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHA!
  • Trapezoid on 01 Apr, 2001, 21:21…
Hey, this isn't so weird. Have you asked the board regulars what they think recently? I mean *regulars*.
  • Mad Lord Snapcase on 03 Apr, 2001, 15:07…
Irregulars, too. As far as I was able to ascertain, the majority of people on your own board actually liked the game, most of them thinking it better than CMI. I certainly did.
