LucasArts are at E3 and so are some of the Mojo crowd, however nothing is happening.. there are some Star Wars previews around but im sure you can find them elsewhere if you really care... No news from Psychonauts anywhere yet either, but when there is it will be here!

omg what a suprise LEC has nothing to show off at E3 apart from the new KOTOR, which is still star wars so it doesn't count.

Maybe Mojo has to do something major like merge some of the fansites it hosts into its design. It'll give the site content, and more then one news updater.

Why? Who are you? ... How are you? Yes. Yeah.

  • Entity on 14 May, 2004, 18:57…
You don't have to do it yourself. Just pay jp-30 some compliments and I'm sure he'll do it himself. ;)

    WHATS HAPPENING TO MOJO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:( i realy like idle thumbs but i've been going to mojo for 2 years now and it makes me sad that there is'nt as much brilliant writtings as usual

even thoe i do agree with the whole un-thu-z-astick (spelling?) writing towards LA

EXCLUSIVE E3 SCOOP: Some article about Mercenaries, or maybe about the awesome mints they were handing out at LEC's booth, will be appearing sometime in the next month. See, Mojo is doing fine.
  • jp-30 on 14 May, 2004, 16:01…
I'm settling in as (a) new Mojo News guy, and hope to reach the standard of brilliant writtings set by Jake and Spaff in the not too distant future.

I'm still kind of settling in to the role presently.

well.. erm. The people at the show might have soemthing to post later (?), but generally i'm not ging to direct much effort this way anymore as its a bit wasted.

not that it's wasteful to tell you guys stuff, just that there is nothing to say

Jake will hopefully get some news on /something/ soon.

    Here's something;

"Average video gamer well beyond teenage years

    14.05.2004

Contrary to a popular stereotype, the average videogame player is not a teenage skateboarder but a more mature fun-seeker old enough to be his dad, according to a survey released yesterday.

The average age of players is 29 and the average age of buyers is 36, says the survey compiled by the Entertainment Software Association and released at E3, the videogame industry's major trade show in Los Angeles.

A slight majority of players are now over 18 years of age, and 59 per cent of them are men.

The poll also found that 52 per cent of people who have increased their game-playing time did so at the expense of watching television, with 47 per cent going to the movies less in favour of gaming."

Hear that LucasArts?? These buyers, average age *36*, GREW UP on the LucasArts Adventure classics. And they'd keep buying new ones, if you'd only release some.

Hey, it's not everyday you get a link for a New Zealand website. :)
  • jp-30 on 14 May, 2004, 04:30…
True, but as I'm a NZer, it's not all that surprising.
  • Entity on 14 May, 2004, 06:10…
Yeah, I always link to Australian sites like http://www.news.com.au/ :)
  • Entity on 13 May, 2004, 22:15…
We all hate LEC, but what's the point keeping the site alive with pointless updates like that. (Nah, I just want some KOTOR stuff)
  • jp-30 on 13 May, 2004, 22:17…
'Tis just a filler story to make an excuse for posting an IdleThumbs link. Nothing to see here, move along, move along....
  • spaff on 14 May, 2004, 09:17…
    ?
    they are on to us.
also because there should be some psychonauts stuff.... somewhere...
  • Trunks on 13 May, 2004, 21:57…
The Republic Commando trailer actually looks pretty decent.
  • Jake on 14 May, 2004, 19:41…
You would say something like that.
