E3 Line up list 09 May, 2002 / Comments: 23

According to this post on LucasForums, IGN has posted an 'unnoficial' line up for all the games LucasArts will be pimping at E3
RTX Red Rock
Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb
Gladius
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars Bounty Hunter
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Star Wars Galaxies
Full Throttle
So... Another small piece of evidence to add to the growing collection that Full Throttle 2 is under production. Another thing I notice about these games is that only half of them are Star Wars.. infact you could say they were 50/50 Star Wars to non Star Wars...
You can discuss this, along with all things E3 in our E3 Forums

Update: After Finally locating the E3 list page on IGN it only lists 6 of those games, missing out Gladius and FT2. Either I'm looking in the wrong place, the forum poster was wrong or they removed the entries... oh well. Anyone?

Further Update: The actual page has been found with the 8 games listed above. IGN spoke with a representative from LucasArts, and they, suprisingly enough, were "unable to comment on Full Throttle and Gladius". Thanks ronaldfw.

The list posted on http://ps2.ign.com/articles/358/358849p1.html contains eight titles. The line up on http://www.lucasarts.com/e3/# contains RTX Red Rock, Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, Gladius and four blurry spots which make a total of seven games. Why do they come short and what makes you think that one of those blurry spots is actually a sequel to full throttle and not just another star wars game? It's just a thought but I think that lucasarts will rip us off with too much star wars games like they did last year :(

Great. Now I have to make $200. :(

along with the shawdowy pictures, i would say only the pic 3rd from the right could be ben. but i dont know what that stick thing is coming out of his ear.

Check it out. 'tis not Ben. I'm guessing, if there is a FT game, it's not starring Ben, but just in the world or something. (Unless Ben gets himself a ponytail -- see leftmost shadow.)

Just a reminder to not go mad despite evidence.

Why would LEC announce Galaxies? It's not as if nobody knows about it. And wasn't it on their E3 page last year also?
  • telarium on 09 May, 2002, 08:46…
They're not really announcing it so much as showing it off. Last year at E3, Galaxies was only shown privately to a select group of people. This year, I believe they'll be showing it off to everyone at E3 since it's further into production.

Alas not. They posted on their website that they'll have it secret again this year.

why is just "full throttle" and not "full throttle 2"? could this be some kind of remake? full throttle in 3d for new generations...
  • The_Petrified_Monkey on 09 May, 2002, 09:11…
They probably sort of mean "Full Throttle (tentative title)" or something along those lines. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Lucasarts pull a quick one and it ends up being an action game or something equally as odd.

I just hope that they never even consider changing the format of a classic game. I would love to play a new version of Full Throttle in 3D but it would have to be a hell of a lot longer.

For example, like with Resident Evil on the Gamecube. 70% of the game is brand-spanking new. Who knows...

Is it just me or is multi-platforming these days just causing multi-confusion? For example, The Clone Wars and Bounty Hunter are both listed as PS2 on IGN when it is known that they are both in development for the Gamecube as well.

IGN are just hindering the matter slightly with their listing of Big Titles at E3 as no-one understands if their platform is supported when, prior to the list being compiled, it has been officially confirmed by a developer to be supported.

Being that this is the case, what will happen to Full Throttle 2, should it arise at E3? Will it start out as a PC title and be converted (a la EMI...) or is it a console-based title? There is no word as to whether it will be an adventure game OR whether it is actually happening.

I hope that it ends up on PC as this is where the story started and should continue :-)

it isnt fact yet that Full Throttle 2 exists... though it is looking to be more likley now... too many co-incidences

    hooray thanks dude
  • spaff on 09 May, 2002, 03:01…
to be honest i dont think this list is the final one... and FT2 definitely wasnt on the list they gave me....

something of note... only ONE episode2 game..... this truly is a happy day. the bad thing is that EP2 is prolly going to rox0r, and we'll all wish we had 200 EP2 games instead of 200 EP1 games...
  • The_Petrified_Monkey on 09 May, 2002, 03:23…
Not that I'm being awkward or anything but Bounty Hunter is an Ep 2 game but not in the sense of '99s Ep1 games. It's a spin off on one of the main characters.

By you don't think this is the final list, do you mean the titles are wrong or there are too many?
  • spaff on 09 May, 2002, 03:52…
and silly me for not thinking of bounty hunter as an ep2 game.. oh well.

    thats still only 2 :)
  • spaff on 09 May, 2002, 03:50…
judging my those shady characters on LEC's e3 page there are 8 titles...
but how many of those sillohettes look like Ben?
im pretty sure the other 7 games will all be at E3... im hoping the 8th is correct hehe.

but unless one crazy rumour sparked the rest, its looking more likley that its atleast being planned to make a sequel of the biking bonanza
  • QueZTone on 09 May, 2002, 03:23…
hehe ill be happy with the original games im sure :)

tho they could make a Clone Wars era styled JK2 exp. pack imo :)
  • QueZTone on 09 May, 2002, 02:36…
    then what about totally games..
