Is Deathspank getting a sequel already? It seems so, as Xbox360Achievements have today noticed a dozen leaked achievments, totalling 200 points, under a game called Deathspank: TOV.
Let me explain: Xbox Live Arcade titles are handed 200 gamerpoints to give out; add-ons are awarded an extra 50 points. This brings the total to 250 points, suggesting that Deathspank: TOV will be an all-new game.
The achievements list things such as a pirate ship (Scurvyville?), evil nuns and two endings. At the time of writing, there seems to be no indication that Ron Gilbert is involved in the game.
What does "TOV" mean? The Orphaned Vendors? Who knows? Who will ever know? You, that's who. More (spoilerly) stuff here.

Obviously not, as it's not on PC yet.

Deathspank's done rather well, actually. Also, the statement "Ron Gilbert is just more well-known to PC gamers" annoys me. It's not quantifiable, and PC gamers aren't an exclusive thing. You know, people who played PC games in 1990 don't necessarily stick to PCs today.
Okay, fair point. The Diablo point still stands though. I'm pleased it has done well on consoles, but it will do very well on PC too.

Deathspank better come to PC or I will be devastated.
Yeah, this is just a simple matter of both Ron Gilbert being more well known by PC gamers, and Diablo-style games being almost always being PC-exclusive and successful. They'd be mad not to release DeathSpank on PC. So right now they're utterly insane.

I have waited for the PC release ever since Ron put out the first news of the comic transforming to a game.

And I'm going to keep ho-ing and humming until I see the mythical PC version. Still think it's coming now?
Yep. Sizeable market there.
