DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue heading to PC, so you'll actually be able to play it now. Yes, you. 24 Nov, 2010 / 6 comments

PC fans may have got no love with the announcement of Double Fine's new game Stacking, but fortunately at least one previously console-only game is coming, as DeathSpank: Thongs Of Virtue is coming to PC on December 1st.

As a slight apology for taking so long, the Snowy Mountain Dungeon DLC will be included free. As a further bonus, Mac games will also get both DeathSpank episodes on 14th December. It's available to purchase now on Steam with a 10% preorder discount.

I guess DeathSpank is doing pretty well on PC after all. Who'd have thought that a Diablo/Torchlight-style action-RPG from the creator of The Secret of Monkey Island would be successful on the platform that made both popular, eh?

Ack, I typed the wrong thing. What I meant to say was that only Thongs Of Virtue would be available for Mac, and that the first Deathspank was PC only. Curse my poor positioning of words.
Unless that's wrong, in which case never mind.

    Kroms

I'd say it has less to do with Deathspank succeeding on PC than it does with it succeeding on consoles, but wtf do I know.

I assumed that if the first one bombed, they wouldn't bother porting the second.

And yes, it's definitely on PC Aububuh. The Steam page says it's released Dec 1st, but then specifically says the Mac versions of both games will be on the 14th.

Second part is like the first part, but better. Glad to see it's making its rounds.

Hm, it seems, unless I'm mistaken, that Thongs of Virtue will only be available for Mac. The Steam page for the first Deathspank only lists PC as a platform.
I hope this is not true, because I want to play the whole game.
