Interview shy LucasArts boss, Darrell Rodriguez, speaks with MCV about the new directions the company has taken, and about his plans for the future.
“Star Wars is very important to us, and we understand what makes a good Star Wars game,†he says. But now we are also looking for original IP – internally and externally – and we’re really open to those opportunities as they come along.
The big change is that we listen to our fans. We listened to them in bringing back the old games, and reimagining them while providing the classic ones. We have a rabid fanbase – and we want to keep them happy.â€

My biggest hope is that LEC continues the Steam and Virtual Console back catalogue re-releases that they've sort of hit the breaks on after a promising start. It'd also be cool to hear about a new Indiana Jones title.
Yep, I agree with you on all points. They've mainly been doing Wii Virtual Console titles for the last few months, the last few being Indy's Greatest Adventures (which only just launched in the UK) and Ghoul Patrol.
Their Steam titles however have got a lot of criticism (barring the new stuff, just the old releases) so they may be trying to properly update them for recent systems for their next batch - this is what I'm hoping anyway. If they can get Indy Infernal Machine on PC running properly that'll be a must-buy.
And I'd love a new Indy title. I'm still expecting an adventure game... honestly. Maybe even this E3.

Right, he somehow manages to make it sound like "Our rabid fans are going to murder us and our families if we don't keep them happy!"
Haha. You DID see the reation to the original Special Edition, right? Seems like they're religiously checking the forums for criticism this time going off the quibbles that've been fixed since the first screenshots!
