Costume Quest and Monkey Island 2 SE on sale this week on Xbox 02 Apr, 2011 / 4 comments

This week there's a sale on a few Xbox Live Arcade games, including a couple of favourites: Costume Quest and Monkey Island 2: Special Edition. Both are half-price for this week only - Costume Quest is 600 Microsoft Points and Monkey Island 2 is 400.

Costume Quest is excellent, but I presume everyone's already got Monkey Island 2 on PC. And if you haven't, well, I can't really recommend buying it as it'll mean giving money to LucasArts, and they really hate it when people do that.

    if you give money toward monkey island 2 then lucas arts will see that it is profitable and make more remakes

    I read on Twitter just before New Years that LucasArts were gonna make some big announcements in May, so will know what they have coming up within a month possibly what they are going to have at E3 this year

    Ouch bitter?

    I'm just bitter about the fact that LucasArts has NO announced games on their slate, making NO sign that they're going to continue re-releasing their classic games (either as SEs or on Steam), giving NO CLUE as to their current strategy, and haven't yet released a proper Indiana Jones adventure for PC/360/PS3!

    Still I'm on your side! We should march in to the LEC HQ and declare that their sad devotion to that ancient brand has not helped them conjure up a proper business strategy. Now WE are the masters!
