Calm Before The Storm 2003 02 Jan, 2003 / Comments: 14

The last few weeks have seen Mojo completely devoid of CBTS, but it's time for it's return on this shiny Thursday afternoon. Of course when I say shiny I actually mean flooding & dark.

Any vaguely Lucas shaped news? errrmmmmm, moving on.

Work (as in LFNetwork) has finally begun on sorting out a network wide newsletter which should provide some kind of entertainment for you Lucas fans out there, bringing you the best LFN news every month... or fortnight. Or something. In the mean time you'll have to make do with these ramblings.

So then... Let's trawl through my inbox shall we? Oh yes! A video! I have a feeling its fairly old, but it's great nonetheless:
This is a video taken in 6000 feet of water. An undersea robot is sawing a 3mm wide slit in a pipeline. The pressure inside the pipeline is 0 PSI while the pressure out side is 2700PSI. And then a crab walks by...
The Slogan generator would have proved useful several years back when we held a Mojo slogan contest, providing beauties like:

'If You've Got the Time, We've Got the Mojo'

'Only Mojo Can Prevent Forest Fires.'

Of course it also said this:

'151 Countries, One Spaff'

'But I'd Rather Have a Bowl of Spaff.'

Which are of course all true. I've had enough of looking for things to put in here, nothing amazing seems to be going on... I'll bugger off now to the pub I think, and leave you with a lovely picture DJG sent me of himself dressed as santa! Anyone got any interesting pictures of themselves at X-Mas? SHARE!

If Only Everything in Life was as Reliable as a Djg.

This comment has been deleted due to the fact that I have fixed my problem with Full Throttle? (sort of). I will wait patiently for the next version of ScummVM because I noticed a few glitches with Full Throttle?. Once again Im sorry you all had to put up with that notorious comment. You wont anymore.

    }:?)

muppet, go post on the forums for christ sake, no one reads these comments, other than the people who care too much about other peoples views and cares.

The only people who DO reply are the ones who pick out spelling mistakes and/or want to take the piss. While the forums on the other hand is where everyone takes the piss and has far FAR too much free time. So you'll get an answer mixed in with some "HAR HAR YOUR TWAT" and "YOU CANT SPELL" but youll eventually get an answer, here youll just get the piss taken out of you and the spelling mistakes picked out.

Do you even check back on these after you write them? Suggestion: Get a site of your own. Some extremely simple ways include getting your own LiveJournal or installing Moveable Type on some webspace of your own. Any more pseudo off topic rants like this should really be put on your own site, or - if you have to post them on mojo somewhere, or if they're cries for LucasArts help - IN MOJO'S DISCUSSION FORUMS where they belong!! Not as long rants in the comments. Sorry you feel foolish... I guess :P

Those are all very good suggestions Jake. Maybe In a few years time when I get my own computer WITH internet access, I'll be able to do those things. And look, I deleted that comment (which is a good thing) (a VERY good thing)

That crab video is freaky, man.
  • Erwin_Br on 03 Jan, 2003, 09:21…
Yeah, I'm now obsessed with this video. I keep playing it again and again. Freaky!

I'll make some more decorations next year. :) (That thing around Guybrush's neck is the navigator head's eye necklace, BTW)

Also - that poor crab. :( Interesting video though. :)

I think I should remove the santa hat from our beloved voodoo doll. Oh well. It will remain until the 6th when I get home.

    Woot Epiphany.

Noting X-masy, but yesterday I have drawn a self-portrait as Henry VIII with a coxcomb. I think it is appropriate.

Gabez' Christmas decoration is truly ingenious.

Not mine, but Gabez' Christmas decoration is worth a gander here.
