We'll be having a jolly whizzy party over at the #monkey-island chat room, and we've invited Bill Tiller to join in with the festivities!

If you haven't visited #monkey-island yet, it's very easy to get there and star chatting. Just download mIRC and connect to #monkey-island on the Gamesurge server.

The chat will officially begin at 8pm GMT Saturday 29th (so this Saturday) -- but please come early if you want to! We'll be playing games and chatting about the year, and when Bill Tiller arrives it'll be a great opportunity to talk to him about whatever you want -- A Vampyre Story (out early 2008), his work on Monkey Island, or the weather.

    Yes -- and it's also the time-zone for Iceland, Portugal, Morroco and Mali.

    For Californians the chat will be taking place at mid-day on Saturday. We'll be eating supper while they are eating lunch!

    All of these time zones are a nightmare -- we should all follow universal colour time, as outline in one of Dave Grossman's poems.

    Actually, i have recently installed mIRC because Eagle-1 from #wing-commander died :( So I may as well visit this chat.. certainly as it's with my good mate Bill!!

    Yeah, I was gutted. I hadn;t been to say hello in over 2 years. Sorry I never got a chance to say goodbye really :(

    Actually, I had no idea just how famous he was. There are memorials on comic book sites and even on wikipedia.

    I stopped visiting #w-c on a regular basis a long time ago, too. :(

    I've just been reading his Wikipedia entry - he certainly kept that quiet. I knew he'd been a comic book artist and that you could track down comics with his name on the cover - only because I'd asked him directly whether that would be the case - but hadn't realised that he still had a following, so to speak.

    No doubt we'll catch up on mokee, or on #wc if you're still popping in. :)
