Bill Tiller discovers Curse of Monkey Island pre-production sketchbook 09 Apr, 2011 / 4 comments

Bill Tiller has uncovered an old pre-production sketchbook of his work on the celebrated Curse of Monkey Island - and despite the concerns of some, he's uploaded some scans for us all to enjoy!

Each image comes with a tweet's worth of backstory, but it's interesting stuff. For example: at one time, the shipwreck occurred on Duck Skull Island instead of Blood Island, and the windmill was there as well. Don't believe me? Look!

There are several other treasures to be found, so don't delay.

Haha, Kroms didn't do anything wrong, but yeah, I don't think Tiller would be in danger for posting this kind of thing, especially since Steve Purcell's been doing it for ages.

Dude, he'd get a cease and desist before his anything else. If, in the unlikely event that LucasArts wanted to sue, they'd have to prove substantial damages to make it worth their while. Finally, the images were posted by Tiller, not AME, so Tiller would be held responsible, not his company.

Because I don't want AME to close for some concept art. :/

WTF? Why would Kroms betray us all like that??
