Belated LEC E3 Video Debuts 15 Jun, 2002 / Comments: 14

Sometimes things go wrong and the day just owns you. Seems like something like that was up at LucasArts yesterday, as the E3 "game trailer mix" video, along with the rest of Friday's update, came out in the middle of the night. Regardless, the E3 game montage video is up in two different sizes at LucasArts.com.

Of special note are the first bits of direct-feed video from Full Throttle II and RTX Red Rock, though all the footage looks pretty nice! Music... possibly questionable.

The E3 page also contains the good press and awards that each new LEC game got at the show this year.

Also of note in the Friday update is the beginning of LucasArts' 20th Anniversary celebration. The zaniness starts June 20th with "a special video celebrating the LucasArts logo animations through the years."

Odds are you need at least QuickTime 4, if not QuickTime 5 installed to be able to view the videos. (Download QuickTime)

about the releae in the middle of night...they always seem to update their page with new material during the night even though they day during the day, which technically it is the day. i remember waiting forever for the Escape from Monkey Island promo e3 to come online.

Well, it's usually around 5:00 PM pacific time which is more evening - instead of like half a day late like this one. Nitpicky, I guess :)

20th anniv. merchandise would rock. I got quicktime 5 with a Nike CD I got when I bought my England shirt (come on!! 3nil!!!) so I should be able to watch all this stuff.

    Do you remember Germany's 8:0 ?? See you in the final, and 8:0 - 3:0 = 5:0, this will be a goooood final... ;-)

This song doesn't measure up to the all-time classic of Corporate Promotional Songs, the ultra-hip *ehum* "Infogrames Rocks My World". It's well worth a download if you can find it on the net, they took it down off their website after a few weeks for, er, obvious reasons.

    Hilarious.

maybe FTII seemed too much... colorful... the original game was darker, more serious, in my opinion... let's hope.

Dammit! Quicktime! Looks like I'll have to boot into windows at some point... unless some kind soul wants to reencode it into a more multi-platform friendly codec like DiVX or something...

i liked the vid, was very cool! the music was quite different but very appropriate to a new fresh look. On the contrary Jake, I figured you'd like it a lot heh :) I thought it was awesome, especially at the end bit where they summed up all games with the logos for the last time, that time the music was perfect.

Anyway about this 20th anniversary, i hope they bring out some cool collection pack of games and cool 20th anniversary gear/merchandise/clothing!

I've downloaded the E3 video, but there seems to be a codec problem with my Quicktime. The screen stays white, and I can only hear the sound.

Do you have the newest version of Quicktime? It's worth downloading because the video is good!

Hmm... If only A-T had news commentarys ;-) ...
