Back To The Future Episode 2 now out, unless it gets erased by some careless teenager 17 Feb, 2011 / 12 comments

Back To The Future: The Game: Episode 2: Get Tannen! (that's a lot of colons) is now available from both Telltale and Steam.

There's also a trailer, which I haven't watched because I own the game and I'm not a freakin' moron.

While I'm immensely excited as I loved the first episode, I'm a little perplexed about the sudden surprise release. There wasn't a press release and Telltale don't even have a blog up about it yet.

Yay, finally I can play my free episode! Though the negative reviews put me off a bit.

I'm confused: is the game out, or not? Because if it's not, then that might give us a clue as to what 1 of these 5 projects is (some sort of Steam-TTG Launcher cloud thingamabob). I doubt it's true, but not impossible.

Something weird's happened for sure. The trailer was took off Telltale's site and the quietness is bizarre. Perhaps Valve accidentally pre-empted their release schedule or something? Not sure!

Wow, just finished it in one sitting... not even 3 hours long!

Now, I have never complained about the length of a telltale game but this one was waaaaay too short!

So, ~3 hours x 5 episodes = ~15 hours of gameplay for US$25? Sounds OK to me.

Isn't today also when TellTale announce those 7 new titles which one of them is rumoured to be a Walking Dead game?

Maybe thats why they pushed out episode 2 without any notice so they could focus on that

Haven't they done sneak releases before? Anyway, I'm happy for it!

I'm having a hard time digging another episode full of Hill Valley circa 1931, though. I'll dig into it later!

Maybe they hoped that if they didn't announce it, people would discover it gradually and not put as much of a strain on their servers.

This is a bit of a shock to me too... They hadn't even given a release date other than "February".

Note that I'm not complaining that it's out... it's just an odd move for Telltale, IMO.
