Armed and Demo-licious. 13 Dec, 2003, 11:50 / 15 comments

If for some reason you haven?t decided on whether or not to purchase Armed and Dangerous (what the hell is wrong with you?), LucasArts has now released a PC demo of the game. Unfortunately you have to battle FilePlanet for it, but it?s probably worth the effort. Check it, and don't forget to also read our own glowing review of this new original title.

I won't be using this in purchasing decisions since I won't be able to buy it here until February 20th. :( I hate LEC.

Uh oh, what will this mean for Armed and Dangerous demo? Will it still reach broader public?

Why not just get it from fileplanet? There's a dedicated server with no queue.

If the problem is that you don't want to register for GameSpy, well, you're out of luck; you have to do that to get a key to play the demo regardless of where you download it from...

You no longer need the key to download the demo. I downloaded it yesterday without it asking for any of that info

Hey, cool. I've just downloaded it again and you're right.

Well, if Fileplanet want to faff about with their stupid key system and compel people to leech their bandwidth twice instead of once, fine by me. ;)

Not to mention something called "ez pad" which you're forced to install... What the heck is that?!?
  • Huz on 15 Dec, 2003, 18:57…
It's some digital rights management gubbins, apparently.
  • Metallus on 15 Dec, 2003, 22:42…
    GUBBINS
  • tabacco on 16 Dec, 2003, 13:12…

'Battle' is the right word. Unique key????/// They obviously haven't reckoned on my killer laziness and rampant paranoia combo. ?
