20th Anniversary Celebration Begins Today 20 Jun, 2002, 18:34 / 10 comments

LucasArts' official website has been updated today, kicking off the celebration of the company's 20th anniversary. At the 20th anniversary site, you will find a video montage of all the LEC logo uses through the years, an article about how the LEC logo "Gold Guy" was created, and a Shockwave trivia game.

Additionally, the Ask LucasArts section includes the question, "What was the first game developed by LucasArts?" Stop by the site for all of the fun! Weeeee! Thanks to QueZTone for the notice.

Update: You can look at the entire 3D Gallery by heading over here. Sadly no 3d rendered ghost galleons, but plenty of spiffy SW thingies and the dude from RTX :)

I like the adventure part of the logo video... specially when Manny says "My name's Manny Calavera; I'm your new travel agent." Brings tears to my eyes (or not really, but it reminds me of how great grim fandango was.) :P

Imagine how we felt at the E3 screening of Episode II, when that logo video was displayed on a huge moviescreen! We applauded when Manny showed up.

Yeah, lots of people applauded. Funny how during the whole screening of all those clips, Manny and Ben got the biggest applause. I suppose someone like Kyle or Dash would have received applause if they were spotlighted but shh.

oh btw, the question in the quiz about Outlaws, what was that all about. I guessed it right but it was a weird question. Something about somone hiding as a luietenant in the confederacy?!? What confederacy? There is no such thing in Outlaws!?

(only possible thing is that it might've been related to the Historical Missions)

I liked the Manny sound clip in the quiz the best. I also liked how they called in the "Scum bar."
