2008 Reader Polls (minor update, see bottom) 02 Jan, 2009, 21:00 / 28 comments

As with last year, and the year before that, we're running a sequence of voting polls to find the answers to this year's big questions. Please vote now on:
More questions will be added as soon as I think of them: but please let me know what other questions you'd like, in the comments!

Voting requires registration on the forums, but it's free, takes 2 seconds to do, and will mean that you can chat to Gabez, Jake, Remi, and the rest of the gang on the forums in 2009 and beyond.

Update: Happy New Year!

Update 2: Steve Purcell's new card!

    @new feature
Dirty humor? Yes that´s the incident of playing LucasArts adventures. :D
  • Jeo on 01 Jan, 2009, 15:27…
I think Lucasarts should definately make a new SCUMM game. Capcom got all retro a while ago with Mega Man 9 and it rocked!
What if Lucasarts published "Monkey Island 3: The Ron Gilbert Version" with graphics similar to Monkey 1 and 2? I'd buy it. 50 times.

Yeah, or even a completely original adventure. Thinking about it more, low resolution graphics are the only way to go -- if it was the same interface, but high resolution, then it would look like some weird kind of old/new hybrid and I don't think that would really work.
  • Udvarnoky on 01 Jan, 2009, 20:14…
Or it would look like CMI, which looked awesome?
  • Gabez on 02 Jan, 2009, 12:40…
    Yeah.
  • tabacco on 01 Jan, 2009, 02:41…
Psst... 'Gromit' only has one 'm' :)

I realised that last night, when I watched a Close Shave again, but I couldn't be bothered to change it.

This is Mixnmojo, not The Oxford English Dictionary.

    Not? I thought. :D

How many W&G movies are there now? I've recently came across something with "of loaf and death" in the title which I was previously completely unaware that it existed.
  • The Tingler on 02 Jan, 2009, 12:33…
'A Matter of Loaf and Death' is the latest, and only came out this Christmas.

Including that there are five W&G adventures - 'A Grand Day Out', 'The Wrong Trousers', 'A Close Shave' and the film 'Curse of the Wererabbit' being the others.
  • Ascovel on 02 Jan, 2009, 14:43…
Then I have seen all there is. Thanks
  • The Tingler on 02 Jan, 2009, 16:29…
Make sure you check out the spin-off Shaun The Sheep series too, that's brilliant as well.
  • Haggis on 02 Jan, 2009, 17:06…
    And 'Cracking Contraptions'.
  • Kroms on 30 Dec, 2008, 20:10…
Oo! oo! Best misguidedly scary post of 2008! :D "Tim Schafer kills himself ;)"
  • Capn_Nacho on 29 Dec, 2008, 18:43…
(I agree about not having any negative ones.)

As for the ones we've got now: How could "Rouge Leaders" possibly NOT win?

And, for the "best beard" poll, all I've got to say is: BEARD BEARD BEARD BEARD
  • Haggis on 28 Dec, 2008, 15:20…
    Best Hosted Site maybe?

Also, Best Hosted Site that is about Autumn Moon Entertainment. ;P
  • Gabez on 28 Dec, 2008, 16:21…
    You got it.
  • Ascovel on 28 Dec, 2008, 11:52…
I'd like "A Favorite Mojo Comic Strip of 2008", but I guess it won't work because there aren't any archives of the older ones available
  • Gabez on 28 Dec, 2008, 11:59…
There are, but it's not well known, and it's not totally complete
  • Ascovel on 28 Dec, 2008, 14:11…
Ah, thanks. I was once looking for that but to no avail. I even managed to forget already about there being other Behind Mojo entries than just the comic strips.
  • MrSneeze on 28 Dec, 2008, 02:24…
Best Mojo Spelling Mistake (intentional or not)

I vote for Rouge Leader of course...
  • clone2727 on 28 Dec, 2008, 01:13…
    Worst Game of 2008
    Biggest Disappointment of 2008
    Worst Mojo'er of 2008
  • Gabez on 28 Dec, 2008, 13:45…
Sounds a bit too negative to me. :~
  • clone2727 on 28 Dec, 2008, 13:52…
But, negative makes it funny! :P
  • neon_git on 28 Dec, 2008, 14:15…
I agree with Gabez, this is about celebrating the awesome, not ragging on people.

Being negative is the lazy man's substitute for being actually funny.
  • Sven_Q45 on 28 Dec, 2008, 13:44…
    Worst Game of 2008
    Biggest Disappointment of 2008:
    Mata Hari *I´m off* :D
  • jp-30 on 28 Dec, 2008, 01:10…
    Best Mojo news headline.
    Best Behind Mojo entry.
  • neon_git on 28 Dec, 2008, 02:12…
    I second both of those.
