2017: A Review Your top games

2017 then. Not a great year for Mojo-related games, but then, not horrible either. A couple of adventure games even, albeit one a re-master. Which games did you love and hate?

1. Thimbleweed Park 68
2. Full Throttle Remastered 12
3. Psychonauts Rhombus 4
4. Guardians of the Galaxy 3
5. The Walking Dead S3 3
6. Batman: The Enemy Within 1
7. Minecraft: Story Mode S2 0

Conversely: In the future, polls will probably be posted solely on Twitter. You know, because people actually vote there. :~

But I digress. Of course Thimbleweed Park would take this one home. No game released in 2017 has any business being more bizarre than the pre-Monkey Island Lucasfilm adventures, but here we are, and Ronzo, Winnick, Fox and company delivered something almost unexpectedly old-school in all the right ways. The large amount of content updates the game has seen is impressive, too, and unprecedented in adventure gaming.

Full Throttle Remastered hit an unsurprising second place, followed by the Psychonauts semi-sequel with four votes. (I didn't even know that many people owned the VR torture helmet.) Rounding out the top seven were four Telltale games. I personally find Batman: The Enemy Within to be underrated, but it is what it is. This was not a stellar year for Telltale at least.

In other words: No surprises in the voting this year.

And that was 2017. 2018? We aim to keep the current increased volume of content going. That's something, right? Of course it is!

On the downside, we won't see Psychonauts 2 and Campo Santo's In the Valley of Gods until 2019. Is there anything to look forward to, then? The Wolf Among Us is getting a sequel, but my confidence in Telltale is shakier than usual these days. Who knows what Ronzo is up to? Bill Tiller? Anyone?!

Mojo will be here for you either way. Stuck in purgatory, you will see us here 20 years from now, complaining, whining, late as ever. But we still love you!
