In a surprise move, LucasArts is to release a new game in 2007. A part of their ongoing Battlefront series. And you won't be playing it unless you're a PSP owner.

The new game is Star Wars Battlefront?: Renegade Squadron? and you can read the press release here.

    A little late to post, but I knew this was coming. At digital life 05, one of the LEC reps at the battlefront 2 station hinted at a third game. I had asked him about a feature and he said, "well we have to save something for the next game". Anyway, I got a Battlefront II pin out of it :) (as well as a free copy of galaxies :P)

    No, probably not, but that's no reason to ignore what's happening at LucasArts.

    Hell, some people even like (some of the) Star Wars games. Myself included.

    Actually, I wouldn't mind another X-Wing/Tie-Fighter/XvT game.

    Have you managed to play any of those on XP? I really miss XvT multi.

    Off topic: I remember maybe 4 years ago that someone was pitching a Grim Fandango Action game for Lucas, yet I can't for the life of me find it in the archives (hint hint fellow mojo staffers) I also remember the article gave a link to a playable demo where manny is holding a gun and is running like crazy. So please, share us a link!

    This is the only thing that springs to mind. It was a fan game that was closed down by LucasArts, but the tech demo featured Mannny running around with a gun.
