That said, I do like the character of Clementine, and I'll play season four since I am interested to see how her story will end.

    Spoiler-alert: She'll die.

I would downright respect them if they made her a zombie, though.

I really liked Season One. Season Two was a letdown to me, since the story meandered towards the middle, and you really didn't know whose story we were really following (Clementine was the protagonist, but at times the story focused more on Nick, Jane, and the returning character from season one). The last episode made the season at least decent for me, as by the end of it, it became clear that it was meant to be a redemption story (and the Wellington ending really put a button on his story in my opinion - I was actually moved to tears by it).

And I really liked 400 Days too. Even though the characters didn't really do much in season two, it was interesting to get the viewpoint of five different people during the start of the apocalypse.

Michonne was definitely very, very bleak. It dealt with Michonne's loss of her children on the first day of the apocalypse, and all three episodes had more loss of life of people Michonne was trying to protect. It was an interesting experiment, by telling the story of Michonne while she was missing in the comics. But it's not something I'll likely be replaying.

I only played the first episode of season three. I liked Javier and thought that it was a nice change of pace by breaking away from the mold in the regular series rather than the spin-offs by having a new character be the controllable one. It led to a lot of people complaining because Clementine was only playable for a short time, but it really was something that the series needed. She doesn't work too well as a playable protagonist. Season Two had Clementine doing stuff that would seem normal for Lee. However, it really stretched the boundaries of the suspension of disbelief that a malnourished pre-teen could do some of the stuff that they had her do in the first half of the season.

I've only played the first season, and honestly, it was surprisingly good. Didn't play the rest out of laziness, money and most of all: zombie fatigue. Maybe one day I'll get this on a good sale on GOG and try it out within the next decade... Hopefully.

Yeah I got most of them on good sales, I think I paid less than $5 for seasons 1 & 2 together.
